Warehouse shell

A low-poly 36 m flat-roof distribution warehouse for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. A warm-white ribbed steel shell with an orange parapet band, five raised dock doors in black dock shelters, a drive-in door, a two-storey office pod and parcel pallets staged on the forecourt.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Warehouse shell for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: the shed is 36 m long (x) × 24 m deep (z) and 10 m to the parapet, with the coping at 10.35 m and the rooftop plant at 10.41 m. The office pod is 8 m × 10 m × 7.4 m on the +X end, flush with the dock face. The concrete apron covers 48 m × 34.5 m, including a 9 m truck forecourt in front of the docks. The dock face faces +Z. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, and the apron rests on y = 0. The dock doors are 3 m × 3 m, with sills at a 1.2 m truck-bed height. The drive-in door is 4 m × 4.5 m at apron level. The GLB has 4,524 triangles in 32 meshes. It is static, carries no animation clip and has flat normals (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 12 colours are used. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') stages 1 to 8 pallets in front of the drive-in door, carrying 0 to 3 layers of parcels. At 0 a single empty pallet remains. Parcel colours come from a seeded random. The dock doors share 4.5 m bays, so dockDoors is capped at floor((length − 8) / 4.5); a 24 m shed takes at most 3. length snaps to 4 m steps. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the viewer rebuilds the scene. Both extremes passed three-check: all-min at 3,002 triangles and all-max at 6,866 (viewer figures, which include about 290 staging triangles). glb-lint found 0 errors and 6 expected heuristic warnings: more than 10 materials with duplicate names (one material per mesh per part), non-indexed flat shading, nested trim, parts reported 'detached' because they attach to a mesh in another part, and the scale check for a subject taller than 1 m. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated. One visual fix round: the office roof became a grey deck inside a coping ring instead of a solid orange slab, the empty apron corner behind the office was trimmed, and the hero was framed tighter.

About the Warehouse shell 3D model

Warehouse shell is a free low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 48 m × 10 m × 35 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,524 triangles across 32 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 456 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Warehouse shell 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 456 KB: 4,524 triangles, 13,572 vertices and 32 materials, modelled in metres at 48 m × 10 m × 35 m.
Can I animate Warehouse shell?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Warehouse shell 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
