Packing stations

A low-poly warehouse packing station: a rack-orange steel bench with a dark wood worktop, an overhead shelf with a hi-vis lip and task light, and a kraft paper roll. On the worktop is an open carton being packed beside a parcel scale, a tape gun and a label printer, with stocked cartons on the shelves and an anti-fatigue mat in front.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Packing stations for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the bench is 1.8 m wide and 0.8 m deep, with its worktop at 0.9 m and the uprights rising to 2.0 m. The overhead shelf sits at 1.6 m and the kraft roll at 1.22 m. With the mat, the whole footprint is about 1.8 × 1.35 m. Units are metres, +Y up, and the packer's side faces +Z. The origin is the footprint's bottom centre, and the feet and mat rest on y = 0. The GLB is static, carries no animation clip, and has 1,180 triangles in 34 meshes at the defaults. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (10 of the 12, the direction's material cap; grey #757e8a, close to mid grey, and rack orange light are unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') fills the lower shelf (two layers) and the overhead shelf with cartons, from empty at 0 to full at 1; a stack of flat-packed carton blanks always stays on the lower shelf. benchWidth and benchHeight resize the bench, and every fitting follows. flapsOpen swings the open carton's four flaps from closed to splayed. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the viewer rebuilds the scene. three-check passed at the defaults and at both extremes (all params at their minimum, then all at their maximum). glb-lint reported 0 errors; its warnings are expected: one material per mesh, non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, intended nesting (roll on its bar, uprights through the worktop), and parts reported as 'detached' because they touch flush (worktop on aprons, panel between uprights) or only along a hinge edge (carton flaps). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.

About the Packing stations 3D model

Packing stations is a free low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 1.8 m × 2.0 m × 1.3 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,180 triangles across 34 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 113 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Packing stations 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 113 KB: 1,180 triangles, 3,540 vertices and 34 materials, modelled in metres at 1.8 m × 2.0 m × 1.3 m.
Can I animate Packing stations?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Packing stations 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
