Glass lift

A low-poly two-stop panoramic glass lift for a mall atrium. A chrome-framed glass shaft on a stepped plinth shows the lift car hanging on its ropes between guide rails, with glazed sliding landing doors on both floors and a white machine head wrapped in a pink brand band.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Glass lift for the Shopping Mall kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Shopping Mall kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A bright atrium with shops on two floors. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, glass blue #2e67b8, chrome #cad1d8, accent pink #e085a3, white dark #d7cebc, glass blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, glass blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `shopBrands` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Shop brands" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.8 m × 2.8 m footprint (2.4 m shaft on a plinth) × 9.55 m tall. It serves two stops 4.5 m apart, matching the kit's shop units: the ground landing is on the 0.12 m plinth and the first-floor landing is at 4.5 m. Both landing doors face +Z. The origin is the bottom centre and the model rests on y = 0. The GLB has 1,296 triangles in 32 meshes and no animation clip. Each part group is merged per colour, and every material is named exactly after its kit colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. White light is not used. Glazing is glass blue light with alpha blending (BLEND, 40% opacity) so you can see the car inside. Engines that sort transparency per object may show minor ordering artefacts between the shaft and car glass. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. carLevel places the car anywhere from the ground stop (0) to the first floor (1); it is a static pose, not an animation. shopBrands (the kit's 'Shop brands') works in steps: below 0.2 the head band is neutral white dark; from 0.2 it turns accent pink; from 0.45 the car canopy gets a matching stripe; from 0.75 each face of the head band takes a different brand colour (pink, glass blue, dark wood, soot black). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. They cover per-mesh duplicate materials, deliberately embedded frame and panel joins, the roof plant cover sitting flush on the roof (flagged as detached) and the height compared with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 9 survive the GLB reload.

About the Glass lift 3D model

Glass lift is a free low-poly 3D model from the Shopping Mall set. It measures 2.8 m × 9.6 m × 2.8 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,296 triangles across 32 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 94 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Glass lift 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 94 KB: 1,296 triangles, 2,380 vertices and 32 materials, modelled in metres at 2.8 m × 9.6 m × 2.8 m.
Can I animate Glass lift?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Glass lift 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
