Entrance plaza

A low-poly 4 × 4 m paving tile for the plaza outside a shopping mall, with a raised planter and a pink blossom tree, a wooden bench, a directory totem, a waste bin and a row of chrome bollards along the front edge. The slab tiles seamlessly with copies of itself in every direction.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Entrance plaza for the Shopping Mall kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Shopping Mall kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A bright atrium with shops on two floors. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, glass blue #2e67b8, chrome #cad1d8, accent pink #e085a3, white dark #d7cebc, glass blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, glass blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `shopBrands` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Shop brands" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exactly 4 m × 4 m with a 0.12 m slab, and 2.89 m tall at the top of the tree at default params. Origin is at the tile centre and the slab bottom rests on y = 0. Front faces +Z. The slab edges are square and flat, and the edge pavers are inset by half a joint, so neighbouring tiles form one even 1 m grid with matching joints. The 4 × 4 checker also continues across seams. All props stay inside ±1.9 m. The exported model has 1,184 triangles in 22 meshes, one mesh per colour per part. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour, and the same name can appear on several materials, so recolour by name. White light is not used on this piece. Static asset: no animation clip. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. shopBrands (the kit's 'Shop brands') sets how many of the eight shop swatches on the back of the directory totem carry a brand colour; the rest stay plain white dark. treeHeight keeps the crown inside the tile at every value, and bollards spaces 2–6 posts along the front edge. Only the default params were captured by three-check; the extremes were reasoned through in code but not rendered. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 warnings: material count and duplicates (from the per-mesh materials), deliberate nesting (pavers set into the base slab, soil in the planter) and the expected-height heuristic, which assumes about 1 m. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphen in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 8 survive the GLB reload.

About the Entrance plaza 3D model

Entrance plaza is a free low-poly 3D model from the Shopping Mall set. It measures 4.0 m × 2.9 m × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,184 triangles across 22 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 97 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Entrance plaza 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 97 KB: 1,184 triangles, 2,040 vertices and 22 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 2.9 m × 4.0 m.
Can I animate Entrance plaza?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Entrance plaza 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
