Atrium

A bright low-poly shopping-mall atrium with glass-fronted shops on two floors around an open void, a first-floor gallery with a glass balustrade, an escalator, a fountain with a pink sculpture and a pitched glass skylight. It is open at the front like a diorama, so the interior reads from outside.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Atrium for the Shopping Mall kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Shopping Mall kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A bright atrium with shops on two floors. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, glass blue #2e67b8, chrome #cad1d8, accent pink #e085a3, white dark #d7cebc, glass blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, glass blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `shopBrands` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Shop brands" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 20.2 m wide × 16.1 m deep × 12.4 m tall to the skylight ridge, with two 4.5 m storeys. Origin is at the bottom centre and the model rests on y = 0. The open front faces +Z. The exported model has 2,772 triangles in 34 meshes, one mesh per colour per part. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour, and the same name can appear on several materials, so recolour by name. glass blue light is the only translucent material (opacity 0.38, alpha blend). Static asset: no animation clip. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. shopBrands (the kit's 'Shop brands') sets the share of shops with a coloured brand fascia and blade sign. The rest get plain white dark fascias. Branded shops are spread evenly using a golden-ratio sequence, and their colours come from a seeded pick. Only the default params were captured by three-check; the param extremes were reasoned through in code (the escalator fits at depth 16 m with 5 m storeys) but not rendered. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 warnings: material count and duplicates (from the per-mesh materials), deliberate overlaps (shopfronts set into the shop blocks), the balustrade flagged as 'detached' because it sits on the gallery part, and the expected-height heuristic, which assumes about 1 m. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphen in the slug-based ids this library requires; three-check accepts them and all 11 survive the GLB reload.

About the Atrium 3D model

Atrium is a free low-poly 3D model from the Shopping Mall set. It measures 20 m × 12 m × 16 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,772 triangles across 34 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 216 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Atrium 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 216 KB: 2,772 triangles, 5,094 vertices and 34 materials, modelled in metres at 20 m × 12 m × 16 m.
Can I animate Atrium?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Atrium 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
