Postal Carrier

A friendly, sturdy voxel postal carrier with a jaw-length bob and low bun under her royal-blue peaked cap, in a red-trimmed uniform shirt, with a grey satchel across her chest and a red-banded bundle of envelopes in her right hand. Rigged in T-pose on the shared Mixamo-named skeleton.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A sturdy woman in her 40s, about 1.68 m tall. Friendly expression. Wearing a royal-blue peaked cap, a short-sleeved royal-blue uniform shirt with red trim on the collar and sleeves, grey knee-length shorts, grey socks and dark walking shoes, and a grey canvas satchel on a strap worn across the chest (plain: no insignia, badges, logos or lettering). Palette: royal blue, red trim, grey. Holding a bundle of blank envelopes tied with a red band in the right hand. Voxel style.

Note: 4,304 triangles on a 3 cm voxel grid, soles at y = 0, facing +Z. 25 mixamorig bones (no finger bones: block hands); every bone has an identity rest rotation (world-aligned), so retarget Mixamo or other clips by bone name with a rest-pose-aware retargeter (Blender, Unity Humanoid, Godot BoneMap, three.js SkeletonUtils.retargetClip) rather than copying raw Mixamo quaternions. Seven skinned meshes share one skeleton (one glTF skin each, same 25 joints); weights are at most 4 per vertex, normalised, blended over about 2 cells at every joint. The jaw-length side hair, the low bun and its red hair tie are weighted 100% to mixamorig:Head; the bun hangs at the nape, so a strong backward head tilt pushes it into the collar. The envelope bundle is weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand. The satchel bag is rigid on mixamorig:Hips while its strap follows the spine, so a strongly raised right thigh can pass into the bag. In three.js, GLTFLoader strips ':' and '.' from names (mixamorigHips, postal-carrierbody). The model root carries part id 'carrier'. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so the GLB has 17 material entries for 13 roles. No textures, lights, cameras or animation clips.

About the Postal Carrier 3D model

Postal Carrier is a free voxel 3D model from the Trades and services characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.6 m × 1.7 m × 42 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,304 triangles across 17 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 459 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Postal Carrier 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 459 KB: 4,304 triangles, 25,768 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.7 m × 42 cm.
Is Postal Carrier animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Postal Carrier 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
