Electrician

A lean, focused low-poly electrician in her 30s, with dark brown jaw-length hair and a low ponytail under a yellow hard hat, an orange hi-vis vest with silver reflective stripes over a black long-sleeve top, a black tool belt and cargo trousers. She holds a yellow-and-black voltage tester pen in her right hand and is rigged in T-pose on the shared Mixamo-named skeleton.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A lean woman in her 30s, about 1.68 m tall. Focused expression. Wearing a yellow hard hat, a plain orange hi-vis vest with reflective stripes over a black long-sleeve top, a black tool belt with pouches and pliers, and black cargo trousers with work boots. Palette: yellow, black, orange. Holding a small yellow-and-black voltage tester pen in the right hand. Low-poly style. No text, logos, brand names or lettering anywhere.

Note: 3,350 flat-shaded triangles (split face normals, so the facets show in any engine). Crown at 1.68 m; the hard hat brings the overall height to 1.77 m. Soles at y = 0, facing +Z. 25 mixamorig bones, no finger bones (mitten left hand, closed right fist). Every bone has an identity rest rotation (world-aligned, the same convention as the rest of the library), so retarget Mixamo or other clips by bone name with a rest-pose-aware retargeter (Blender, Unity Humanoid, Godot BoneMap, three.js SkeletonUtils.retargetClip) rather than copying raw Mixamo quaternions. Eight skinned meshes share one skeleton (one glTF skin each, same 25 joints). Each vertex has at most 3 weights, normalised and blended across short bands at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Clothing uses the same weight functions as the body under it. The shoulder band sits closer to the torso on the underside of the arm, so the armpit follows the arm into the torso instead of folding flat. The face is eyes with a one-facet lash flick, thin arched brows and a small mouth (lips role). The hair is a faceted jaw-length shell with a side-swept fringe and a low ponytail. It is part of the body mesh and, with the hard hat and face, is weighted 100% to mixamorig:Head, so a strong backward head tilt can push the ponytail into the collar. The belt, pouches and tools are 100% on mixamorig:Hips, so a strongly raised thigh can pass into a hip pouch. The tester pen is 100% on mixamorig:RightHand. In three.js, GLTFLoader strips ':' and '.' from names (mixamorigHips, electricianbody). The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so the GLB has 15 material entries for 11 roles. No textures, lights, cameras or animation clips.

About the Electrician 3D model

Electrician is a free low-poly 3D model from the Trades and services characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.6 m × 1.8 m × 36 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,350 triangles across 15 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 420 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Electrician 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 420 KB: 3,350 triangles, 15,132 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.8 m × 36 cm.
Is Electrician animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Electrician 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
