The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
A broad man in his 40s, about 1.80 m tall. Shouting prices, mouth open. Wearing a navy beanie, a yellow rubber apron over a navy wool jumper, dark trousers and sea-green wellington boots. Note: 42,988 triangles, 8 skinned meshes and 8 materials sharing one 2048 px atlas (colour, normal, roughness/metal) drawn in code; 3.4 MB. All meshes bind the same 65 Mixamo bones (mixamorig:Hips root, full finger chains, 4 per finger including thumbs); three.js renames them mixamorigHips etc. on load. The glTF has one skin per mesh, all listing the same joints. Bone +Y points along each bone; local axes are not copied from Mixamo's own FBX rig, so retarget clips by name and rest pose rather than playing raw Mixamo quaternions. The right hand's fingers are curled around the fish's tail in the bind pose, and the left hand rests in a slight curl. The fish is weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand. The lower apron is weighted mostly to the thighs (95% at the hem, blended across the centre), so a raised knee lifts it and creases it at the hip instead of passing through it. In the rig-test pose that crease and the trouser hip fold compress some edges below 0.3x; this is reported as a warning and was reviewed in the captures. The open mouth is real geometry (teeth, tongue, dark cavity); there are no blendshapes. Height 1.80 m to the top of the head and 1.83 m with the beanie. glb-lint reports 0 errors and an overall UNVERIFIED verdict, because no requirements contract was supplied. Its three heuristic warnings are expected: identical material factors (colour lives in the shared atlas), nested parts, and scale against the product direction's 0.15 m reference. No text, logos or lettering anywhere.
About the Fishmonger 3D model
Fishmonger is a free PBR 3D model from the Trades and services characters set, rigged with a 65-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.9 m × 1.8 m × 40 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 42,988 triangles across 8 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 3.3 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Fishmonger 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 3.3 MB: 42,988 triangles, 23,349 vertices and 8 materials, modelled in metres at 1.9 m × 1.8 m × 40 cm.
- Is Fishmonger animated?
- It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 65-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Fishmonger 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
