The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
A stocky man in his 40s, about 1.72 m tall. Cheerful expression. Wearing a blue cap, blue bib overalls over a grey tee, grey knee pads and brown work boots. Palette: blue, grey, copper. Holding a copper-red pipe wrench in the right hand. Chibi style. No text, logos, brand names or lettering anywhere.

Note: 9,774 triangles, 1.72 m, soles at y = 0, facing +Z. 25 mixamorig bones, no finger bones (chibi mitten hands on the Hand bones). Every bone has an identity rest rotation (world-aligned axes), so retarget Mixamo or other clips by bone name with a rest-pose-aware retargeter (Blender, Unity Humanoid, Godot BoneMap, three.js SkeletonUtils.retargetClip) rather than copying raw Mixamo quaternions. Nine skinned meshes share one skeleton (one glTF skin each, same 25 joints). Weights: at most 4 per vertex, normalised, taken from one positional field, so the tee, overalls, straps, knee pads, cap and hair move with the body under them (rig test: worst cloth-to-skin distance change 2.5 mm). The pipe wrench is a separate mesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand, with its handle along the hand's forward axis so it points ahead when the arms hang down. The copper buttons are each rigid on the spine bone under them. Lifting a thigh past about 45 degrees stretches the back of the overall seat up to about 2.3 times, and the round belly will meet the upper arms when they are pulled tight against the sides. Surfaces are flat role colours multiplied by vertex colours (COLOR_0) for the soft gradients, cheek blush, cap panel seams and mouth shading; there are no textures. Materials are named by role; the exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so 'hair' appears twice (brows and hair). In three.js, GLTFLoader strips ':' and '.' from names (mixamorigHips, plumberbody). The model root carries part id 'plumber'. No text, logos, lights, cameras, ground or animation clips.
About the Plumber 3D model
Plumber is a free toy-style 3D model from the Trades and services characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.5 m × 1.7 m × 79 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 9,774 triangles across 15 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 408 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Plumber 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 408 KB: 9,774 triangles, 8,836 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 1.5 m × 1.7 m × 79 cm.
- Is Plumber animated?
- It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Plumber 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
