Ladders
A low-poly open A-frame stepladder with yellow fibreglass rails, five ribbed aluminium treads, a red moulded top cap, locked spreader bars and a fold-out pail shelf.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Ladders for the Garage Workshop kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Garage Workshop kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tools, projects and sawdust. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: concrete grey #757e8a, tool red #c32222, pegboard brown #6b4a2e, yellow #eecd2b, concrete grey dark #525860, tool red dark #821717, concrete grey light #a3a5a8, tool red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `projectType` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Project type" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.63 m wide × 1.13 m deep (open) × 1.80 m tall at the top cap, a typical '6 ft' workshop stepladder with a 0.29 m rise per step. Origin is the bottom centre of the footprint, the climbing side faces +Z, and all four rubber feet rest on y = 0. The GLB has 588 triangles in 13 meshes (merged per part and palette colour, flat-shaded, non-indexed). It is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 878 figure also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a Garage Workshop palette colour; at the default 7 of the 12 swatches are used. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only the defaults were rendered and checked. projectType (the kit's 'Project type') picks the build: 0–0.33 a timber ladder (dark wood rails, pegboard brown treads) for woodwork, 0.33–0.67 yellow fibreglass with aluminium treads (default), 0.67–1 bare aluminium (concrete grey light rails, concrete grey treads). steps (3–7) changes the height (about 1.22–2.38 m); spread swings the rear legs out; shelfOpen folds the pail shelf down against the rear legs. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was also validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors (its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract applies to a static prop). Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-mesh material instances that share palette names, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, rails nested into the feet and cap, and the top cap flagged as detached although it sits on the rail heads.
About the Ladders 3D model
Ladders is a free low-poly 3D model from the Garage Workshop set. It measures 63 cm × 1.8 m × 1.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 588 triangles across 13 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 53 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Ladders 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 53 KB: 588 triangles, 1,764 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 63 cm × 1.8 m × 1.1 m.
- Can I animate Ladders?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Ladders 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
