Driveway tiles
A low-poly 4 × 4 m concrete driveway tile for a home workshop: four cast slab panels split by dark control joints, a slotted trench drain across the garage end, and workshop spill on top — oil stains, a red drip tray, yellow sawdust heaps and timber offcuts. Its edges are flat and its border joints are split half-and-half, so copies tile seamlessly in every direction.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Driveway tiles for the Garage Workshop kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Garage Workshop kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tools, projects and sawdust. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: concrete grey #757e8a, tool red #c32222, pegboard brown #6b4a2e, yellow #eecd2b, concrete grey dark #525860, tool red dark #821717, concrete grey light #a3a5a8, tool red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `projectType` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Project type" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exactly 4.00 × 4.00 m footprint. The slab is 0.12 m thick, and the tallest sawdust heap reaches 0.27 m. The origin is at the tile centre and the bottom rests on y = 0. The front (street side) faces +Z, and the trench drain runs along X near −Z (garage-door side). How it tiles: every panel's border ring is exactly flat at 0.12 m, and only interior facets dip (up to 10 mm at default wear). Control joints on the tile edges are half width, so neighbours share one full joint. The drain runs edge to edge with bars on a 0.1 m pitch, so it continues into X neighbours. The GLB has 1,344 triangles in 15 meshes. It is static and has no animation clip. Every material is named after its kit palette colour (10 of the 12 are used; tool red dark and tool red light are not needed). The runtime clones materials per mesh, so some names appear more than once in the GLB, but recolouring by name still works. The GLB is baked at the default params. projectType (the kit's 'Project type') shifts the spill: 0 is woodwork (6 sawdust heaps, offcuts, 1 oil stain, no drip tray), 1 is car work (4 oil stains, drip tray, 1 heap, no offcuts), and 0.5 has a mix of both. panels (1–4), wear and drain rebuild the tile in the viewer only. At the extremes, optional parts (offcuts, drip tray, drain) are left out by design. Both extremes were rendered and checked: geometry stayed valid, and the only failures were the planned-id checks for those absent parts. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected: material count/duplicates (per-mesh clones of the same named colours), non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, panel and stain overlaps (adjacent panels and inlaid decals), joints flagged as 'detached' because they are inlays in the slab, and height below the 1 m reference because this is a ground tile. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen). With hyphen-free ids the same plan passes.
About the Driveway tiles 3D model
Driveway tiles is a free low-poly 3D model from the Garage Workshop set. It measures 4.0 m × 27 cm × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,344 triangles across 15 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 108 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Driveway tiles 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 108 KB: 1,344 triangles, 4,032 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 27 cm × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Driveway tiles?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Driveway tiles 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
