Lights
A low-poly film-studio Fresnel spotlight: a faceted black lamp head with cooling fins, a glowing stepped lens and four hinged barn doors, carried in a yellow tilt yoke on a telescoping stand with a castored tripod base and a sandbag over the rear leg.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Lights for the Film Studio kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Film Studio kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Sets, lights and fake walls. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, lamp yellow #eecd2b, wood #7d5736, red carpet #c32222, black dark #090a0b, lamp yellow dark #bda00f, black light #3a3c40, lamp yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `filmGenreOnSet` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Film genre on set" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.13 m tall to the top barn door, with the lens centre at 1.9 m. The tripod footprint is about 1.1 m across (0.6 m leg spread), and the 0.4 m lamp head reaches forward over the front legs. Units are metres, +Y is up, the beam faces +Z, and the origin is the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0 (the three casters and the sandbag touch the floor). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. The lens material 'lamp yellow light' carries a soft emissive glow of the same colour so the lamp reads as on. Wood, dark wood and warm white are not used on this part. The GLB has 1,116 triangles in 15 meshes. It is static and carries no animation clip. three-check's 1,406-triangle figure also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. filmGenreOnSet (the kit's 'Film genre on set') sets the barn-door angle: at 0 the leaves fold 20° in to a noir slit, at 0.5 they flare 20° out, and at 1 they open 60° for a wide musical wash. The side leaves are shorter than the top and bottom ones, so they never collide when folded in. lampHeight (1.4–2.6 m) slides the riser, headTilt (−35° to +25°) pivots the head in the yoke, and legSpread (0.45–0.8 m) sets the tripod radius. three-check passed with all params at their minimums and again at their maximums. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. They cover exporter duplicate materials (15 exported for 9 palette colours), non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), nested sibling boxes (riser in column, fins and bezel on the housing), and the 2.13 m height against the direction's 1 m reference. The lint verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. Fix rounds: (1) the hero was reframed so the front caster isn't cropped, and the sandbag was made smaller and more pillow-shaped; (2) the yoke's spigot mount now overlaps the yoke bar, so it no longer reads as a floating part.
About the Lights 3D model
Lights is a free low-poly 3D model from the Film Studio set. It measures 1.1 m × 2.1 m × 1.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,116 triangles across 15 meshes, with 19 named parts. Download the 93 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Lights 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 93 KB: 1,116 triangles, 3,348 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 1.1 m × 2.1 m × 1.1 m.
- Can I animate Lights?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 19 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Lights 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
