Waterfall
A low-poly 4 × 4 m Tropical Island ground tile: a terraced grey-rock outcrop with grassy, flowering tops whose spring pool spills in two turquoise falls, from the summit to a ledge pool and on into a foamy, sand-ringed plunge pool. Every edge is flat sand, so it tiles with the kit's other ground pieces.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Waterfall for the Tropical Island kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Tropical Island kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Palm beach and blue lagoon. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sand #d1bd94, turquoise #31c4b8, palm green #3a883a, coral #e2715a, sand dark #ba9c5e, turquoise dark #22877e, sand light #e6ddcb, turquoise light #6dd5cc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `islandSize` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Island size" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the tile is exactly 4.00 × 4.00 m in plan and 3.19 m tall at the summit bushes. The rock outcrop's summit is 2.80 m above y = 0, the ledge 1.50 m and the plunge-pool water 0.14 m. The upper fall drops about 1.3 m and the lower about 1.3 m. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the tile centre and the front (the falls) faces +Z. How it tiles: the bottom is flat on y = 0 across the whole footprint, and all relief fades out within 0.30 m of every border. All four edges are therefore flat sand at exactly 0.20 m, the same edge height as the kit's beach tiles. The falls are spring-fed from a summit pool, so no water crosses an edge. The GLB has 7,934 triangles in 15 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (10 of the 12 are used; sand light and dark wood are not). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names appear twice; recolour by name. islandSize (the kit's 'Island size') raises the outcrop: the ledge goes from 1.0 to 1.6 m and the summit from 1.9 to 3.3 m above the sand, so both drops lengthen. fallWidth sets the width of both falls and their wet notch. poolRadius sizes the plunge pool, and bushCount sets 0–9 flowering bushes. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The water is opaque faceted sheets; the falls are closed 5 cm slabs. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 expected warnings. They are: 15 materials over the direction's 10 (per-mesh duplicates); non-indexed geometry on purpose for hard flat facets; overlapping sibling boxes for the terrain colour meshes, which share one heightfield; and the 3.19 m height against the generic 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen). The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 8 ids.
About the Waterfall 3D model
Waterfall is a free low-poly 3D model from the Tropical Island set. It measures 4.0 m × 3.2 m × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 7,934 triangles across 15 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 606 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Waterfall 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 606 KB: 7,934 triangles, 23,790 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 3.2 m × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Waterfall?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Waterfall 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
