Hammocks
A low-poly beach hammock on its own timber stand for the Tropical Island kit: a coral, warm-white and turquoise striped fabric bed sagging between two spreader bars, with fan ropes to black rings, two braced dark-wood posts on grey footings and a pillow.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Hammocks for the Tropical Island kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Tropical Island kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Palm beach and blue lagoon. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sand #d1bd94, turquoise #31c4b8, palm green #3a883a, coral #e2715a, sand dark #ba9c5e, turquoise dark #22877e, sand light #e6ddcb, turquoise light #6dd5cc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `islandSize` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Island size" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 5.3 m long (post centres 4.0 m apart, braces splaying 0.5 m beyond each post) × 1.3 m deep × 2.06 m high; the fabric bed is 2.5 m long and 1.1 m wide, its low point 0.55 m above the ground and its spreader bars about 1.0 m up. Origin is the bottom centre, the hammock's long axis runs along X so its sag shows in profile from the front (+Z), and all six grey footings rest exactly on y = 0. The model is the hammock and stand only: no sand, palms or lights. The GLB has 1,544 triangles in 10 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (9 of the 12 are used; sand, palm green and turquoise dark are not). islandSize (the kit's 'Island size') widens the stand from 3.7 m to 4.3 m between posts, giving longer hang ropes; sag sets how deep the bed hangs (end rise 0.28–0.62 m); bedWidth sets the fabric width. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer uses exposure 0.5 instead of the direction's 1.05 so the pale palette keeps its tone; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors, 5 warnings, all expected (one material per mesh from the exporter, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested sibling boxes (caps and rope wraps on the posts), 'detached' heuristics for merged part meshes, and a 2.06 m height against the direction's 1 m reference). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB keep all 6 ids.
About the Hammocks 3D model
Hammocks is a free low-poly 3D model from the Tropical Island set. It measures 5.3 m × 2.1 m × 1.3 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,544 triangles across 10 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 138 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Hammocks 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 138 KB: 1,544 triangles, 4,632 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 5.3 m × 2.1 m × 1.3 m.
- Can I animate Hammocks?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Hammocks 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
