Street Musician

A tall, thin clay busker in his thirties, eyes closed and content, in a mustard flat cap, patched brown jacket and faded-red scarf, carrying an acoustic guitar by the neck. Rigged on the shared Mixamo-named skeleton in T-pose, ready for retargeted animation.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A man, 30s, tall and thin, about 1.86 m tall. Eyes closed, content expression. Wearing: flat cap, patched brown jacket, scarf, worn boots (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Brown, mustard, faded red. Prop: acoustic guitar, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Clay style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: 24,306 triangles, 9 SkinnedMeshes on one 25-bone Mixamo skeleton (mixamorig:Hips root; three.js loaders show the names without the colon). Mitten hands, so there are no finger bones; each hand is weighted rigidly to its …Hand bone. The guitar is a separate SkinnedMesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand. It lies along the arm, angled 30° forward, so it hangs by its neck at the side once the arm is lowered. Bone local +Y points down each bone (Mixamo/Blender convention). No animation clips are included. Materials are matte clay (metalness 0) with flat colours per role, a soft vertex-colour tint (COLOR_0) and one shared 512 px procedural thumbprint normal map embedded in the file. The runtime's exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so roles such as 'trim', 'hat' and 'accent' appear more than once (16 materials for 9 roles). glb-lint reports 0 errors and 4 non-blocking warnings; its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied (material count, duplicate materials, overlapping head-feature boxes, height vs the 0.2 m clay-figurine reference). The jacket hem is partly weighted to the thighs so it lifts over a raised knee. With the guitar param off, the right hand stays a closed fist.

About the Street Musician 3D model

Street Musician is a free clay 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 2.4 m × 1.9 m × 54 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 24,306 triangles across 16 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 1.4 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Street Musician 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 1.4 MB: 24,306 triangles, 28,649 vertices and 16 materials, modelled in metres at 2.4 m × 1.9 m × 54 cm.
Is Street Musician animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Street Musician 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
