Intern

A nervous young office intern in an oversized beige blazer, striped tee and navy chinos, carrying a four-cup coffee carrier. Cel-shaded and rigged on the shared Mixamo-convention skeleton, ready for retargeted animation.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A woman, early 20s, petite, about 1.58 m tall. Nervous smile expression. Wearing: oversized blazer, striped tee, chinos, flats, lanyard (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Beige, navy stripe, coral. Prop: tray of four coffees, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Cel-shaded style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: 20,580 triangles in 9 skinned meshes, all bound to one 25-bone mixamorig skeleton (local +Y down each bone); no animation clips. Mitten hands with no finger bones. The coffee carrier is a separate mesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand and hangs from the fist by its centre handle. The sleeveless tee follows only the spine and clavicles; the blazer, chinos and outline share one positional weight field with blend bands at the hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists and neck. The badge is weighted rigidly to Spine1, and the hair, clip and sweat drop to Head. The face and tee stripes are canvas-drawn colour maps embedded in the GLB. The cel outline is real skinned geometry with flipped winding, so it renders in any engine that culls back faces. The toon ramp itself is viewer-only, so other engines get flat base colours: render them unlit or with a toon shader to match. The blazer material is double-sided so extreme arm poses can't open a see-through fold at the armpit. glb-lint warns about duplicate materials, because the exporter writes one copy per mesh, and about nested clothing bounds, which is intended.

About the Intern 3D model

Intern is a free toon 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.6 m × 1.6 m × 32 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 20,580 triangles across 17 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 755 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Intern 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 755 KB: 20,580 triangles, 17,065 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.6 m × 32 cm.
Is Intern animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Intern 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
