How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A man, early 30s, slim, about 1.78 m tall. Confident half-smile expression. Wearing: grey hoodie over white tee, dark jeans, white sneakers (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Charcoal, white, lime accent. Prop: laptop under arm, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Stylized PBR style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: Skeleton: 65 bones with exact mixamorig names and Mixamo parenting, including Thumb/Index/Middle/Ring/Pinky 1–4 on both hands. Every bone has an identity rest rotation (world-aligned axes), so retarget Mixamo clips with rest-pose compensation (Blender, Godot retargeting, Unity Humanoid, three.js SkeletonUtils.retargetClip) rather than copying raw quaternion tracks. Bind pose is a T-pose with palms down; the right hand's fingers are modelled curled around the laptop's far edge, and the left hand is relaxed. The laptop is a separate skinned mesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand (prop on/off is a parameter). The 10 skinned meshes all bind the same 65 joints; the GLB lists one skin entry per mesh, each with an identical joint list. There are no animation clips. Textures are 2K procedural colour/normal/roughness maps embedded as JPEG (model.glb is about 14.7 MB). glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 warnings (10 materials vs the direction's default 8, intended layered-clothing overlap, product-scale heuristic); its verdict reads 'unverified' only because no requirements contract was supplied. 36,580 triangles.

About the Startup Founder 3D model

Startup Founder is a free PBR 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 65-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.8 m × 1.8 m × 39 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 36,580 triangles across 10 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 14.7 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Startup Founder 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 14.7 MB: 36,580 triangles, 20,803 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 1.8 m × 1.8 m × 39 cm.
Is Startup Founder animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 65-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Startup Founder 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
