Pickup truck
A low-poly classic pickup truck in cherry red with a warm white roof, chrome grille, bumpers and round headlamps, and an open fleetside bed holding wooden crates. In a seamless 8-second loop the wheels roll and steer, then the tailgate drops flat on its hinge and closes again.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Pickup truck for the Roadside Diner kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Roadside Diner kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A lonely stop on a long road. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: chrome #cad1d8, cherry red #c32222, mint #90d5b3, desert tan #bf9769, chrome dark #9eabb7, cherry red dark #821717, chrome light #f7f7f8, cherry red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 5.16 m long (bumper to bumper), 1.90 m wide over the body (2.18 m over the mirrors) and 1.85 m tall over the roof. It sits on a 3.0 m wheelbase with 0.76 m wheels and has a 2.0 m open bed. The origin is at the bottom centre, the tyres rest on y = 0 and the front faces +Z. The exported model has 2,092 triangles. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and 10 of the 12 colours are used at the defaults (mint is unused; mid grey appears only at a late era). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (8 s, seamless) moves only hinged parts on their own pivots. For the first 4 s the wheels roll two whole turns on their axles while the front knuckles steer left and right on kingpins through the wheel centres. Then the tailgate drops flat on its bottom hinge, holds and closes by 7.4 s. The body never moves. The GLB's static node pose is the frame the export was taken at (t = 2 s), so the wheels are mid-roll and the front wheels are turned slightly. Play or reset the clip for the rest pose. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. era (the kit's 'Era' knob) picks one of three trims. Below 0.34 is early, with running boards, warm white wheels and chrome caps. 0.34 to 0.67 is the default, with chrome bumpers and grille and a warm white roof. 0.67 and up is late, with mid grey painted bumpers and grille, square headlamps and an all-red roof. wheelbase slides the rear axle, arches and wheel tubs under the fixed bed. wheelRadius sets the wheel size, and the arches follow it. bedLoad adds or removes the crates. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 warnings: the material count is above the direction default because of per-mesh materials; duplicate same-colour materials (per-mesh export); non-indexed flat-shaded geometry; intended overlaps where trim is set into the body; and parts flagged as detached because they rest on the body from other groups. Its verdict line reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A de-hyphenated copy of the plan passes. three-check accepts the hyphenated ids, and all 18 survive the GLB reload.
About the Pickup truck 3D model
Pickup truck is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Roadside Diner set. It measures 2.2 m × 1.9 m × 5.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,092 triangles across 35 meshes, with 18 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 231 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Pickup truck 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 231 KB: 2,092 triangles, 4,876 vertices and 35 materials, modelled in metres at 2.2 m × 1.9 m × 5.2 m.
- Is Pickup truck animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Pickup truck 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
