Neon signs
A low-poly double-sided rooftop neon sign for a roadside diner: a dark shaped panel outlined in a glowing red tube, carrying a mint neon coffee cup with rising steam, abstract word strokes and an arrow. It stands on a cherry red raceway over a chrome A-frame stand on wooden roof sleepers.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Neon signs for the Roadside Diner kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Roadside Diner kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A lonely stop on a long road. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: chrome #cad1d8, cherry red #c32222, mint #90d5b3, desert tan #bf9769, chrome dark #9eabb7, cherry red dark #821717, chrome light #f7f7f8, cherry red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.65 m wide (x), 1.0 m deep (z) across the sleepers and 2.97 m tall to the starburst tip. The 2.4 m by 1.5 m panel sits on a raceway whose top is 0.8 m above the base. It is a rooftop or lot-edge sign: set the sleepers on a flat roof. The front faces +Z, and the origin is at the bottom centre, resting on y = 0. The exported model has 3,316 triangles in 14 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). 10 of the 12 kit colours are used; chrome and desert tan are not. Every material is named exactly after its palette colour, and the same name can appear on more than one material: recolour by name. The tube colours (mint, cherry red light, warm white) carry a soft emissive at intensity 0.18 with the same hex. There is no bloom in the asset, so add a glow in your engine if you want one. The sign is double-sided. The back mirrors the front layout so it reads the right way round, and the border tube follows the panel outline. The words are abstract tube strokes, never real text. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. era (the kit's 'Era') runs from a squared 1940s chamfered panel with a stubby starburst (era 0) to a raked 1960s wedge, with its top-right corner swept up 0.28 m and long starburst spikes (era 1). width, panelHeight and standHeight resize the panel, the raceway and the stand. The param extremes were checked by reading the geometry limits, not by a capture. The back was checked with a temporary 214° hero capture. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: material count and duplicate materials (from the per-mesh materials), unindexed geometry (flat shading on purpose), sibling overlap (the rim, raceway and standoffs are embedded on purpose) and scale (compared with the direction's 1 m reference). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens this library's slug-based ids need; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 6 survive the GLB reload.
About the Neon signs 3D model
Neon signs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Roadside Diner set. It measures 2.7 m × 3.0 m × 1.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,316 triangles across 14 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 246 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Neon signs 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 246 KB: 3,316 triangles, 9,948 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 2.7 m × 3.0 m × 1.0 m.
- Can I animate Neon signs?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Neon signs 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
