Rice store

A low-poly River Delta rice granary: a windowless plank store under a steep stepped palm-thatch roof, raised on dark-wood piles fitted with tin rat guards. A barred sky-blue double door opens onto a railed loading landing with stacked rice sacks, a basket and a water jar, and a cleated ramp leads down to the bank.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Rice store for the River Delta kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the River Delta kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stilt houses and floating trade. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: muddy brown #43372d, palm green #3a883a, bright boat colours #b39d80, sky blue #2e67b8, muddy brown dark #15120e, palm green dark #235223, muddy brown light #6d5d50, palm green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `waterLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Water level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 5.48 m wide (X) × 7.44 m deep (Z, including the 2.7 m ramp) × 5.49 m tall at the thatch ridge. The store is 4.4 × 2.8 m with 2.25 m plank walls. At the default stilt height its floor sits 1.4 m above y = 0, on a 5.1 × 4.4 m platform with a 1.25 m-deep front loading landing. The 16 pile feet and the ramp foot rest on y = 0, which is the bank or riverbed, not the water surface. The origin is at the bottom centre and the front (door, landing, ramp) faces +Z. The GLB has 4,750 triangles in 30 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. three-check's 4,824-triangle figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. 11 of the 12 colours are used; palm green light is not. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on several materials; recolour by name. waterLevel (the kit's 'Water level') sets the height of the dark wet tide band on the piles and the ramp cleats: 0.10 m at 0, about 0.39 m at the default and about 0.69 m at 1. It always stays below the rat guards. Set the kit's water plane to that height. The model has no water surface of its own. stiltHeight raises or lowers the store on its piles, and the ramp lengthens to match. sackCount stacks 0–7 sacks on the landing; at 0 an empty pallet remains. roofPitch sets the thatch slope. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 warnings, all expected: duplicate same-named materials from the per-mesh export, and a material count above the direction's 10; deliberately non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets; nested sibling boxes (battens on walls, planks on the deck); a 'detached' heuristic on per-colour pile, guard and rail meshes, which are physically joined to the stained pile feet and the deck; and a 5.5 m height against the direction's 1 m reference height. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 12 ids.

About the Rice store 3D model

Rice store is a free low-poly 3D model from the River Delta set. It measures 5.5 m × 5.5 m × 7.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,750 triangles across 30 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 477 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Rice store 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 477 KB: 4,750 triangles, 14,250 vertices and 30 materials, modelled in metres at 5.5 m × 5.5 m × 7.4 m.
Can I animate Rice store?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Rice store 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
