Monkey bridge
A low-poly Mekong monkey bridge (cầu khỉ) for the River Delta kit. Two lashed bamboo poles arch over a canal on crossed bamboo X-trestles, with a single bamboo handrail, diagonal braces and sky-blue cord ties. It is an 8 m modular piece that snaps end to end on a 1 m grid.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Monkey bridge for the River Delta kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the River Delta kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stilt houses and floating trade. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: muddy brown #43372d, palm green #3a883a, bright boat colours #b39d80, sky blue #2e67b8, muddy brown dark #15120e, palm green dark #235223, muddy brown light #6d5d50, palm green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `waterLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Water level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the bridge is 8 m long (bridgeLength runs 5 to 12 m in whole metres), so it snaps on a 1 m grid. The footprint is about 2.0 × 8.1 m including the splayed trestle feet. The walking surface is 1.75 m above y = 0 at both ends and 2.45 m at mid-span, the handrail is 0.95 m above that, and the overall height is 3.5 m. Origin and snapping: the origin is at the bottom centre of the near (snapping) end. The walkway runs from z = 0 to z = −length and the near end faces +Z. Both ends sit at the same height so pieces chain, and the handrail overhangs each end by 5 cm. The trestle feet stand on y = 0, the canal bed. The model is the bridge only: there is no water or bank. waterLevel (the kit's 'Water level') lifts the walkway from 1.45 m to 2.05 m at the ends to keep boat clearance, and moves the dark wet band on the legs from 0.2 m to 1.1 m so it meets the kit's water plane. archRise sets the hump height (0 gives a flat walkway). handrails: 1 gives the classic single rail on the +X side, 2 adds a rail on −X. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The GLB has 3,648 triangles in 10 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. It uses 4 of the 12 kit palette colours, and every material is named exactly after its colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on several materials; recolour by name. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 warnings, all expected: duplicate same-named materials from the per-mesh export; non-indexed geometry, which is deliberate for hard flat-shaded facets; nested sibling boxes (bamboo nodes on their poles); a 'detached' heuristic on the lashings, which wrap the poles and are their own merged mesh; and a 3.5 m height against the direction's 1 m reference height. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB keep all 6 ids.
About the Monkey bridge 3D model
Monkey bridge is a free low-poly 3D model from the River Delta set. It measures 2.0 m × 3.5 m × 8.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,648 triangles across 10 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 266 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Monkey bridge 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 266 KB: 3,648 triangles, 10,944 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 3.5 m × 8.1 m.
- Can I animate Monkey bridge?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Monkey bridge 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
