Fish market

A low-poly quayside fish market hall: an open-fronted timber shed on a stone floor slab under a sea-blue corrugated gable roof with a louvred ridge vent. A striped awning shades a row of tilted stalls laid with ice and fish, with stacked fish crates, a rope coil, a hanging scale, a blank gable sign and a back door.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Fish market for the Fishing Harbour kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Fishing Harbour kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Boats, nets and a sea wall. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sea blue #2e67b8, boat colours #988e81, rope tan #bf9769, grey stone #9c958b, sea blue dark #1f457a, boat colours dark #70685c, sea blue light #6190d1, boat colours light #b6b3af, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `tide` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Tide" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 11.2 m wide (x, with the side crate apron), 8.8 m deep (z, with the eaves and front step) and 6.54 m tall to the ridge vent at default params. The hall is three 3 m bays (9 m) by 6 m deep, with 3.2 m walls on a 0.3 m stone slab and a 2.0 m roof rise. The open stall front faces +Z, and the origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0. The GLB has 3,960 triangles in 36 meshes (merged per part and colour), about 5,050 at the heaviest param mix, and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour, and all 12 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same name repeats: recolour by name. tide (the kit's 'Tide') is how much catch is landed: 3 to 12 fish per stall and 2 to 9 fish crates on the apron. It does not move any water, because the model carries none. bays is 2–4 stall bays, roofRise is 1.4–2.6 m and awningDepth is 1.0–2.0 m. Params are baked at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both all-min and all-max param combinations pass three-check and glb-lint. There is no text: the gable sign is blank for you to label, and the windows are opaque. The interior (tie beams, king posts and a gutting table) is visible through the open front. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its 5 heuristic warnings are the material count, duplicate per-mesh materials, unindexed flat geometry, sibling overlap from trims embedded on purpose, and scale against the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphenated slug ids this library requires. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.

About the Fish market 3D model

Fish market is a free low-poly 3D model from the Fishing Harbour set. It measures 11 m × 6.5 m × 8.8 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,960 triangles across 36 meshes, with 13 named parts. Download the 309 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Fish market 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 309 KB: 3,960 triangles, 11,880 vertices and 36 materials, modelled in metres at 11 m × 6.5 m × 8.8 m.
Can I animate Fish market?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 13 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Fish market 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
