Boat sheds
A low-poly row of three gabled timber boat sheds on a stone hardstanding, with tall double doors, corrugated roofs and launching rails. Rowing boats on wheeled cradles roll out onto the slip, with rope coils, lobster pots and a heap of net beside them.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Boat sheds for the Fishing Harbour kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Fishing Harbour kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Boats, nets and a sea wall. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sea blue #2e67b8, boat colours #988e81, rope tan #bf9769, grey stone #9c958b, sea blue dark #1f457a, boat colours dark #70685c, sea blue light #6190d1, boat colours light #b6b3af, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `tide` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Tide" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 17.0 m wide (x), 15.2 m deep (z) and 5.19 m tall to the ridge caps at default params. Each shed is 4.4 m wide and 8 m deep, with 3.0 m eaves, a 1.9 m roof rise and a 3.0 x 2.5 m door opening. The sheds stand 0.9 m apart on a 0.25 m stone slab, with a 5.6 m apron and a 1 m slip edge in front. The rowing boats are 4.8 m long. The doors face +Z, and the origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0. The GLB has 6,884 triangles in 33 meshes (merged per part and colour), about 9,400 at the heaviest mix (4 sheds, 2.4 m rise), and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour, and all 12 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same name repeats: recolour by name. tide (the kit's 'Tide') is how far the fleet is hauled out. Boats roll out shed by shed from the left, and each shed's doors swing open as its boat leaves. At 0 every boat is stored with its doors shut, at 0.5 one is out and one is in the doorway, and at 1 all are out on the apron. The model carries no water. sheds is 2–4 sheds, and roofRise is 1.4–2.4 m. Params are baked at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. All-min and all-max param mixes pass three-check, and glb-lint reports 0 errors for both. glb-lint reports 0 errors at defaults. Its 5 heuristic warnings are the material count, duplicate per-mesh materials, unindexed flat geometry, sibling overlap from trims embedded on purpose, and scale against the direction's 1 m reference. At sheds = 2 it also flags the rope coil as detached, because it rests on the slab in a different part group. There is no text, and the windows are opaque. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphenated slug ids this library requires. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.
About the Boat sheds 3D model
Boat sheds is a free low-poly 3D model from the Fishing Harbour set. It measures 17 m × 5.2 m × 15 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 6,884 triangles across 33 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 512 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Boat sheds 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 512 KB: 6,884 triangles, 20,652 vertices and 33 materials, modelled in metres at 17 m × 5.2 m × 15 m.
- Can I animate Boat sheds?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Boat sheds 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
