Robot arm
A low-poly six-axis industrial robot arm in safety yellow on a machine-green plinth, with an infeed and outfeed lift, a controller cabinet and a tote of finished products on a hazard-edged steel base plate. It plays a seamless 8-second pick-and-place loop: the arm grips a product, swings it over the front with a quarter wrist turn and sets it into the outfeed lift.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Robot arm for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the arm stands about 1.72 m tall at rest and peaks at about 1.75 m mid-swing. The steel base plate is 2.0 m wide and 1.3 m deep, the plinth top (J1 swivel) is 0.5 m up, and the work height of the lifts is 0.75 m. Origin is at the bottom centre of the base plate on y = 0, and the arm reaches toward +Z. The GLB has 2,128 triangles in 55 meshes and one 8 s looping clip, 'scene-motion'. Every joint is its own node, pivoted on its axis: J1 turret yaw, J2 shoulder, J3 elbow, J5 wrist pitch and J6 flange yaw, plus finger slides, two lift platforms and the product. The base plate, plinth, housings, cabinet and tote never move. Between the outfeed and infeed, the product moves while it is hidden inside the housings, and it is scaled to almost nothing for that hand-off (about 0.2 s). Every material is named exactly after a Factory Floor palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. 11 of the 12 kit colours are used; concrete is not. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') fills the finished-goods tote with 0 to 4 products (2 at the default). Like the other params, it is baked into the GLB at its default and changes only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. forearm sets the forearm length, sweep sets how far round the two lifts stand from the front, and lift sets how high the product is carried. The IK keeps the gripper on the product across the whole range of each param. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; a de-hyphenated copy passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 16 survive the GLB reload. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. Its heuristic 'detached' warnings are the moving lift platforms and gripper fingers, which are joined through their parent nodes rather than by touching meshes.
About the Robot arm 3D model
Robot arm is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 2.0 m × 1.8 m × 1.3 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,128 triangles across 55 meshes, with 16 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 233 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Robot arm 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 233 KB: 2,128 triangles, 6,384 vertices and 55 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 1.8 m × 1.3 m.
- Is Robot arm animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Robot arm 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
