Lockers

A low-poly bank of three full-height factory staff lockers with louvred green doors, yellow handles and a sloped top. One door stands open on a hi-vis jacket and boots, and a wooden locker bench with hard hats stands in front.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Lockers for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.16 m wide (three 0.38 m lockers), 2.10 m tall to the high back edge of the sloped top (1.8 m locker body on a 0.1 m plinth), 0.5 m deep for the lockers and 1.23 m deep overall including the bench, which stands 0.43 m in front so the door's full 100° swing clears it. The origin is at the bottom centre of the whole footprint (lockers + bench), the plinth and bench feet rest on y = 0, and the doors face +Z. The GLB has 1,224 triangles and no animation clip; it is a static asset. 9 of the 12 kit colours are used (concrete, machine green light and safety yellow light are not), and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. lockerCount sets 2–5 lockers and widens the bench, lockerHeight sets the body height, and doorOpen swings the right-hand door from 0° to 100°. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') sets how many hard hats are left on the bench at shift end: none at 0, two at the default, one per locker at 1. Meshes are merged per part and colour, so the open door is a separate part but is not rigged to swing in an engine (its pose is baked). Checked at the extremes (5 lockers, 2.0 m, door fully open, all hats), it stays valid. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review, plus heuristic warnings: duplicate per-mesh materials, deliberately nested parts, a 2.1 m height against the direction's 1 m reference, and the boots flagged as detached because they stand on the carcass floor, which is in another part group. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; a copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids, all 9 of which survive the GLB reload.

About the Lockers 3D model

Lockers is a free low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 1.2 m × 2.1 m × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,224 triangles across 24 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 79 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Lockers 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 79 KB: 1,224 triangles, 2,020 vertices and 24 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 2.1 m × 1.2 m.
Can I animate Lockers?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Lockers 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
