Machines

A low-poly plastic injection-moulding machine for the Factory Floor kit. It has a green machine bed, a steel clamp unit with four tie bars inside a yellow safety guard, a heater-banded barrel under a yellow funnel hopper, an operator console with a stack light, and a conveyor that drops moulded parts into a bin on a pallet.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Machines for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 5.6 m long (X), 3.2 m deep including the outfeed conveyor and bin out front (the machine bed alone is 1.3 m deep, or 1.6 m with the rear power pack), and 2.76 m tall to the top of the stack light (2.63 m to the hopper cap). The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, the levelling feet rest on y = 0 and the operator side faces +Z. The GLB has 2,752 triangles in 36 meshes and no animation clip; it is a static asset. 11 of the 12 kit colours are used (concrete is left for the floor), and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. clampOpen slides the moving platen and its mould half up to 0.5 m away from the fixed platen; hopperHeight sets the funnel height; tieBarSpan lengthens the clamp unit and its guard. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') fills the outfeed bin with moulded parts: 0 leaves the bin and belt empty, the default gives two layers of 16, and 1 gives four layers (64). The meshes are merged per part and colour, so parts are separate nodes but not rigged. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. It also gives 5 heuristic warnings: material count (one material per mesh), nested trim boxes, two flush-seated parts flagged as detached (the purge tray on the deck and the cap on the drive housing), and scale (it expects 1 m; this subject is 2.76 m). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids, all 9 of which survive the GLB reload.

About the Machines 3D model

Machines is a free low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 5.6 m × 2.8 m × 3.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,752 triangles across 36 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 158 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Machines 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 158 KB: 2,752 triangles, 4,498 vertices and 36 materials, modelled in metres at 5.6 m × 2.8 m × 3.2 m.
Can I animate Machines?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Machines 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
