Machine bays
A low-poly factory machine bay: a green CNC machining centre with a half-open sliding guard door on a concrete slab, boxed in by yellow guard railings. A steel control pendant, a stack light, a workbench and an outfeed pallet of finished parts complete the bay.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Machine bays for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 4.4 m wide (bayWidth), 3.8 m deep and 2.57 m tall to the top of the stack light. The CNC enclosure is 2.1 × 1.4 m and 1.9 m tall, standing on an 8 cm concrete slab. The origin is at the bottom centre of the slab, which rests on y = 0, and the machine door faces +Z. The front of the bay is left open as the walkway, marked with yellow and black hazard dashes. The GLB has 2,588 triangles in 34 meshes and no animation clip; it is a static asset. All 12 kit colours are used, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. bayWidth widens the slab, the railings and the floor lines; doorOpen slides the guard door from closed to fully open over the vent panel; railHeight sets the railing height. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') fills the outfeed pallet with finished steel parts: 0 leaves it empty, the default gives one full layer of 12, and 1 gives two layers of 12 on a slip sheet. The meshes are merged per part and colour, so the door is a separate part but not rigged to slide in an engine. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. It also gives 4 heuristic warnings: two about material count (per-mesh materials), one about deliberately nested trim boxes, and one about scale (it expects 1 m; this subject is 2.57 m). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids, all 9 of which survive the GLB reload.
About the Machine bays 3D model
Machine bays is a free low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 4.4 m × 2.6 m × 3.8 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,588 triangles across 34 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 139 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Machine bays 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 139 KB: 2,588 triangles, 3,826 vertices and 34 materials, modelled in metres at 4.4 m × 2.6 m × 3.8 m.
- Can I animate Machine bays?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Machine bays 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
