Mine cart on rails

A low-poly dwarven mine cart on a 2 m iron rail bed: a flared dark-wood hopper bound in iron, four flanged wheels, copper chairs and lantern, and a lava gutter between the rails. Includes a seamless 6-second rolling loop.

This model carries a baked animation clip.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Mine cart on rails for the Dwarven Forge Hall kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Dwarven Forge Hall kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A mountain hall of fire and stone. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: iron grey #757e8a, copper #b8602e, ember orange #ed7e1d, soot black #151619, iron grey dark #525860, copper dark #7a401f, iron grey light #a3a5a8, copper light #d18a61, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `lavaOnOrOff` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Lava on or off" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world scale in metres: 2.0 m long (whole metres on a 1 m grid), 1.06 m wide across the sleepers, 1.04 m tall to the lantern cap. Origin is at the snapping end (z = 0) on the track centreline, with sleepers resting on y = 0 and the rails extending in +Z; the cart front faces +Z. The clip scene-motion (6 s, seamless) translates only the cart along the rails and rolls the four wheels about their own axles (θ = Δz / R). The rail bed stays still. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. lavaOnOrOff (default 0.5) switches the gutter and lantern lens to ember orange with a matching ore mix; at 0 the gutter is soot black and the ore is copper. Part ids use the prefix dwarvenforgehallminecartonrails because the kit id grammar does not allow hyphens; the library slug stays dwarven-forge-hall-mine-cart-on-rails. Params rebuild the geometry and rebake the clip in the viewer; the downloaded GLB holds the default build. Fitted joints (chairs under rails, bands on the hopper, wheels on the axles) overlap on purpose. Normals are flat per face, so the facets survive in any engine. glb-lint: 0 errors, 2 heuristic warnings (non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, intended nesting overlaps). Its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. OBJ export carries geometry only.
