Dog Walker

A laughing felt-toy dog walker in a forest-green puffer gilet, red-check flannel, jeans and wellies, carrying three dog leads in her right hand. She is rigged to the library's shared Mixamo skeleton in T-pose, ready to take a retargeted walk.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A woman, 20s, average build, about 1.65 m tall. Laughing expression. Wearing: puffer gilet, flannel shirt, jeans, wellies (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Forest green, red check, denim. Prop: three leads in one hand, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Felt toy style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: There are 25 Mixamo-named bones and no finger bones: the hands are mittens weighted to …Hand only. Each bone's local +Y points at its child, as in Mixamo, so retarget by bone name and rest pose. All 8 skinned meshes (one per material role) share one skeleton, so the GLB lists 8 skins over the same joints. The three leads are a separate mesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand. They are rigid, so they point wherever the hand points and do not dangle under gravity when the arm moves. Felt colour and normal maps are drawn procedurally and embedded as PNG (about 5.3 MB in total). Materials use KHR_materials_sheen for the felt; viewers without sheen support just show matte fabric. There are no animation clips. Height is 1.66 m including hair, and the soles sit at y = 0.

About the Dog Walker 3D model

Dog Walker is a free clay 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.6 m × 1.7 m × 42 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 12,704 triangles across 8 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 5.2 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Dog Walker 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 5.2 MB: 12,704 triangles, 9,138 vertices and 8 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.7 m × 42 cm.
Is Dog Walker animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Dog Walker 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
