Masks
A low-poly Venetian carnival mask stall, about 2 m tall. A green board on two dark-wood posts, under a terracotta gable canopy with gold finials, holds rows of masks on both faces: gold volto, feathered colombina, beaked plague-doctor and black bauta.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Masks for the Canal City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Canal City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A trading city of bridges and palaces. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: terracotta #be5937, canal green #3a883a, stone white #f4f1ec, carnival gold #d0a225, terracotta dark #823d26, canal green dark #235223, terracotta light #d08971, canal green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `waterLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Water level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.97 m to the top of the finials (the canopy beam sits at 1.7 m), 1.5 m wide across the finials (X) and about 0.76 m deep (Z, the canopy eaves). The stone plinth is 1.3 × 0.66 m and 0.19 m tall. The masks are real size, about 0.19–0.23 m wide, hung in two rows of three on each face of the board. The front board face points +Z, +Y is up, the origin is at the bottom centre and the model rests on y = 0. The GLB has 3,818 triangles in 19 meshes (merged per part and colour). It is static and carries no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed), so the facets survive in any engine. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour; 8 of the 12 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. waterLevel (the kit's 'Water level') is the acqua alta mark: it raises the dark-green tide band on the stone plinth from 0.03 m at 0 to 0.15 m at 1. The stall carries no water itself; place it on the kit's quay tiles. masks sets how many masks hang on each face (1–6, filled top-centre first). standHeight lengthens the legs under the board. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected: per-mesh duplicate materials, unindexed geometry (flat shading on purpose), sibling overlap (masks sit on rim plates, gables sit under the roof), and 'detached' stand and board meshes. Those two only touch neighbours in other parts (the posts stand on the plinth, and the board is held between the posts). Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 7 ids. Fix rounds: (1) exposure lowered to 0.65 so the terracotta isn't washed out, dark shadows added behind the eye holes, masks scaled to adult size and the gold beam-end blocks removed; (2) the default stand was lowered from 1.9 m to 1.7 m so the masks fill more of the frame, and the bauta chin was slimmed.
About the Masks 3D model
Masks is a free low-poly 3D model from the Canal City set. It measures 1.5 m × 2.0 m × 78 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,818 triangles across 19 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 285 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Masks 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 285 KB: 3,818 triangles, 11,454 vertices and 19 materials, modelled in metres at 1.5 m × 2.0 m × 78 cm.
- Can I animate Masks?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Masks 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
