Stream tiles
A low-poly 4 × 4 m Bamboo Forest ground tile: a shallow dark-green stream winding in a gentle S between mossy banks, crossed by a line of flat stepping stones, with boulders, fern tufts, a clump of young bamboo with a red cloth band, and pale mist lying on the water. The stream runs on through the front and back edges and the banks meet flush at the sides, so copies tile seamlessly.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Stream tiles for the Bamboo Forest kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Bamboo Forest kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tall stalks, mist and stone paths. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: bamboo green #3a883a, mist grey #adadad, stone #9c958b, red accent #c32222, bamboo green dark #235223, mist grey dark #878787, bamboo green light #5db15d, mist grey light #d4d4d4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `mistDensity` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Mist density" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: an exact 4 × 4 m footprint (x and z from −2 to +2), 2.75 m tall to the top of the bamboo. The banks are 0.28 m high, and the water surface is at 0.15 m in a stream 1.2 m wide at the default streamWidth. The origin is the tile centre at the bottom, everything rests on y = 0, and the stream flows from the back (−Z) to the front (+Z). Tiling: the side edges are flat at 0.28 m. The stream centreline is x = meander·sin(πz/2), so the channel and water cut through the front and back edges at x = 0 with an identical section, and stream tiles chain front to back. Neighbours must use the same streamWidth and meander to match. The GLB has 8,168 triangles in 20 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 8.5k figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (11 of the 12; mid grey is unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names appear more than once; recolour by name. The kit has no blue, so the water uses bamboo green dark (a pale grey read as concrete), and recolouring that name also recolours the leaves and moss patches. The two mist materials are alpha-blended at 55% opacity, because opaque mist read as white boulders. mistDensity (the kit's 'Mist density') sets how many mist veils lie on the water (0–4) and how thick they are; at 0 the mist meshes are omitted. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. glb-lint reports 0 errors and only heuristic warnings (direction material count, non-indexed flat-shaded primitives, nested part boxes). plan-check rejects the hyphenated slug part ids the library mandates; a copy with the ids de-hyphenated passes, and three-check accepts the hyphenated ids.
About the Stream tiles 3D model
Stream tiles is a free low-poly 3D model from the Bamboo Forest set. It measures 4.0 m × 2.8 m × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 8,168 triangles across 20 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 593 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Stream tiles 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 593 KB: 8,168 triangles, 24,504 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 2.8 m × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Stream tiles?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Stream tiles 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
