Yard tiles
A low-poly 4 × 4 m warehouse yard tile: a grey concrete pour with expansion joints, hi-vis yellow trailer bay lines, an orange staging box holding a pallet of parcels, a yard drain, a dock arrow and tyre tracks. Its edges are flat and its bay lines are half-width on the borders, so copies tile seamlessly in every direction.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Yard tiles for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: an exact 4 × 4 m footprint, an 8 cm concrete slab, 0.82 m tall at the default stock level (the carton stack; up to about 1.1 m at stockLevel 1). The origin is at the tile centre, the bottom rests on y = 0 and the front faces +Z; the arrow points −Z toward the dock. The slab edges are flat. The yellow bay lines are half-width strips on both X borders, so side-by-side tiles join into one full line and a row of tiles reads as 4 m trailer bays. Expansion joints repeat every 2 m across the seams. Border paint stops 1 mm short of the slab side to avoid z-fighting. The GLB has 990 triangles in 12 meshes and no animation clip; it is a static asset. It uses 10 of the 12 kit colours, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') fills the staged Euro pallet with cartons: 0 is an empty pallet, the default gives 9 cartons and 1 gives 18 in three layers. wear sets the number of twin tyre tracks (one short track always remains at 0). glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. Its 5 heuristic warnings were reviewed and do not apply: the 'detached' paint is seated 8 mm into the slab, and the overlaps are the joints and tape set into the slab and cartons on purpose. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids.
About the Yard tiles 3D model
Yard tiles is a free low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 4.0 m × 82 cm × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 990 triangles across 12 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 80 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Yard tiles 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 80 KB: 990 triangles, 2,970 vertices and 12 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 82 cm × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Yard tiles?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Yard tiles 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
