Sorting belt
A low-poly 3.6 m parcel sorting belt for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. A black slat belt on rack-orange frames runs taped cardboard parcels under a hi-vis scanner arch, and a yellow swing-arm diverter pushes every second parcel off down a side roller chute. It comes with a seamless 8 s loop.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Sorting belt for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 3.6 m long (x) × 1.9 m deep (z, back of the diverter to the end of the chute) × 1.47 m tall to the top of the scanner arch. The belt is 0.6 m wide and its surface sits at 0.85 m working height. The origin is the bottom centre of the bounds and every foot rests on y = 0. The chute and control box face the front (+Z), the diverter and gearmotor are on the back, and the top run travels toward +X. The GLB has 2,612 triangles in 100 meshes (three-check's 2,902 also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported). Every material is named exactly after the Warehouse and Logistics palette colour it uses. 10 of the 12 colours are used (the direction's material cap); rack orange light and dark wood are not. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat: recolour by name. The 8 s 'scene-motion' clip loops seamlessly. Each of the 48 slats (belt.slat_00–47) travels exactly one lap. The drums and 4 return rollers turn whole turns on their own axles. The diverter arm swings 35° about the vertical axis of its post and back again for each diverted parcel. Parcels (parcels.parcel_N) scale in at the tail. Straight parcels scale out at the head drum. Diverted parcels are pushed along the arm face, slide down the chute and scale out before its end stop, so engines see them pop in and out by design. Frames, legs, arch, post, chute and drive never move. The parcel spacing was checked numerically so the arm never sweeps through a parcel and parcels never overlap, at every stockLevel and length. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') sets how many parcels are in the loop: 0 is an empty belt, the default 0.5 gives 4 (2 diverted, 2 straight), and 1 gives 8 (6 or 10 at the shortest or longest belt). length, beltHeight and chuteSlope change the geometry when the viewer rebuilds the scene. Belt width is fixed because the diverter's reach is tuned to it. The GLB is baked at the default params. three-check also passed with every param at its minimum and with every param at its maximum. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed geometry). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected: material count from one material per mesh, duplicate-named materials, non-indexed primitives for flat shading, intended nesting (drum shafts in shells, post through the arm hub), and moving slats, parcels and the arm reported as 'detached' because they ride on parts in other groups. Fix round 1 re-phased the parcels so the t = 0 preview catches the arm mid-push. plan-check only passes with the slug de-hyphenated (its part-id pattern rejects hyphens), so the delivered plan keeps the hyphenated ids that three-check and the GLB need.
About the Sorting belt 3D model
Sorting belt is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 3.6 m × 1.5 m × 1.9 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,612 triangles across 100 meshes, with 15 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 690 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Sorting belt 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 690 KB: 2,612 triangles, 7,836 vertices and 100 materials, modelled in metres at 3.6 m × 1.5 m × 1.9 m.
- Is Sorting belt animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Sorting belt 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
