How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Wrap rolls for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 0.27 m wide (x), 0.27 m deep (z) and 0.664 m tall to the top of the dispenser grip. The rolls are 450 mm hand stretch film on 58 mm cardboard cores and stand 0.48 m tall. Units are metres, +Y up, front faces +Z; the origin is the tray's bottom centre and the tray rests on y = 0. Static, with no animation clip. 1,152 triangles in 10 meshes at the defaults, counted from the GLB (three-check's 1,430 also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported). The GLB ranges from 704 to 1,600 triangles across the param range. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') sets how much film is left on every roll, from a near-empty 68 mm roll to a full 115 mm roll. rollCount (2–6) sets how many rolls stand in the two-row tray, and the tray widens to fit; an odd last roll stands in the front row. filmWidth (0.25–0.5 m) sets the roll height. Params are baked into the GLB at their values when exported. three-check and glb-lint passed at the defaults, with every param at its minimum and with every param at its maximum. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (10 of the 12; rack orange light and dark wood are not used). glb-lint: 0 errors. Its warnings are expected: geometry is non-indexed to keep hard flat facets, the tray floor sits inside its walls and the film is wound on the cores, and the dispenser counts as detached because it sits inside a roll's core. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.

About the Wrap rolls 3D model

Wrap rolls is a free low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 27 cm × 66 cm × 27 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,152 triangles across 10 meshes, with 5 named parts. Download the 90 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Wrap rolls 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 90 KB: 1,152 triangles, 3,456 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 27 cm × 66 cm × 27 cm.
Can I animate Wrap rolls?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 5 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Wrap rolls 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
