Robot shuttle

A low-poly rack-orange warehouse robot shuttle with a lidar sensor head, carrying a tote of taped cardboard parcels on a lifting turntable. It loops a lift-and-turn cycle: the tote rises, spins a full turn and settles while the wheels, casters and lidar move.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Robot shuttle for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 0.84 m wide (x, across the drive wheels) × 1.0 m long (z) × 0.60 m tall at rest with the default load; the chassis deck is 0.30 m high, the lidar top 0.48 m, and a full tote (stockLevel 1) reaches about 0.75 m. The sensor head faces +Z; the origin is the bottom centre and the drive wheels and casters rest on y = 0. 1,296 triangles in 26 meshes at the defaults (one per part and colour), flat-shaded and non-indexed. Every material is named exactly after the Warehouse and Logistics palette colour it uses (10 of the 12 kit colours; dark wood and cardboard brown dark are not used). The 8 s 'scene-motion' clip loops seamlessly and the chassis never moves: the lift column rises by liftHeight and lowers again, the turntable turns the tote and parcels turntableTurns whole turns about the column axis while raised, the drive wheels make one turn about their axle (the robot stands still, so they spin in place), the four casters swivel about vertical kingpins at their fork tops, and the lidar makes 8 turns. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') sets how many taped parcels are in the tote: 0 is an empty tote, 0.5 is three, 1 is six in two layers. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change it when the viewer rebuilds the scene; only the defaults were rendered and checked. The GLB's static node transforms are one frame of the loop (tote raised), so play the clip (t = 0 is the rest pose). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected (non-indexed flat shading, one material per mesh, intended nesting, and the raised tote/lift column flagged as 'detached' in the exported mid-loop pose). plan-check only PASSes with the slug de-hyphenated (its part-id regex rejects hyphens) while three-check needs the real hyphenated ids, so the delivered design-plan.md keeps the hyphenated ids.

About the Robot shuttle 3D model

Robot shuttle is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 84 cm × 72 cm × 1.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,296 triangles across 26 meshes, with 12 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 191 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Robot shuttle 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 191 KB: 1,296 triangles, 3,888 vertices and 26 materials, modelled in metres at 84 cm × 72 cm × 1.0 m.
Is Robot shuttle animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Robot shuttle 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
