Scanners
A low-poly warehouse barcode scanner charging station: a grey wedge cradle with rack-orange end caps, a row of black charging cups with amber status lights, and hi-vis yellow pistol-grip scanners docked grip-down with white scan windows facing forward.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Scanners for the Warehouse and Logistics kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Warehouse and Logistics kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Racks, parcels and deadlines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cardboard brown #6b4a2e, rack orange #ed7e1d, grey #757e8a, hi-vis yellow #ffe042, cardboard brown dark #362517, rack orange dark #af590e, cardboard brown light #9b704b, rack orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stockLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stock level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: at the defaults the station is about 0.72 m wide including the end caps, 0.25 m deep and 0.25 m tall (each scanner is about 0.19 m nose to tail and stands about 0.2 m tall in its cup). Slot pitch is 0.13 m, so the cradle width is slotCount × 0.13 + 0.05 m plus two 12 mm end caps. Units are metres, +Y up, and the scan windows face +Z. The origin is the footprint's bottom centre, and the rubber feet rest on y = 0. The GLB is static, carries no animation clip, and has 988 triangles in 16 meshes at the defaults. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (8 of the 12); recolour by name. stockLevel (the kit's 'Stock level') sets how many slots hold a docked scanner, spread evenly along the cradle. It never drops below one, so the scanner parts are never empty; at 0.5 with 5 slots, three are docked. Empty cups show bright charge contacts, and their status lights go dark. slotCount sets the cradle length (2–6 slots), and lean tilts the docked scanners back in their cups (0–20°). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the viewer rebuilds the scene. three-check passed at the defaults and at both extremes (all params at their minimum, then all at their maximum). glb-lint reported 0 errors. Its warnings are expected: the grips sit inside the cups, and the scanner bodies, triggers and keypads count as 'detached' because they sit flush on the grip and body instead of overlapping them. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.
About the Scanners 3D model
Scanners is a free low-poly 3D model from the Warehouse and Logistics set. It measures 72 cm × 25 cm × 26 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 988 triangles across 16 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 84 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Scanners 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 84 KB: 988 triangles, 2,964 vertices and 16 materials, modelled in metres at 72 cm × 25 cm × 26 cm.
- Can I animate Scanners?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Scanners 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
