Water skins
A low-poly water seller's rack for a Silk Road caravanserai: whole-goat leather water skins slung on red straps under a dark-wood A-frame trestle, with tied leg stubs, corded stoppered necks, one empty skin hung by its hind legs, and a bowl of water on the ground.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Water skins for the Silk Road Caravanserai kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Silk Road Caravanserai kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A walled inn for desert traders. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: mud brick #9e3d2e, indigo #2d2d76, saffron #eead2b, carpet red #c32222, mud brick dark #63261d, indigo dark #18183f, mud brick light #c66253, indigo light #4848a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `goodsOnSale` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Goods on sale" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.90 m wide (X, bar length) × 0.98 m deep (Z, foot rails) × 1.08 m tall to the crossed leg tips; the bar sits at 1.0 m and each full skin is about 0.74 m nose to rump. The origin is at the bottom centre, everything rests on y = 0, and the skins' stoppered necks face +Z. The GLB has 1,456 triangles in 10 meshes. It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour; 9 of the 12 are used at the defaults. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on more than one material ('dark wood' appears twice), so recolour by name. goodsOnSale (the kit's 'Goods on sale' knob) sets how many skins hang full: round(goodsOnSale × skins), left first (2 of 3 at the default). The rest hang empty and flat, neck-down by their hind legs. skinCount (2–4) changes the number of slots, and the bar and trestle widen to fit (1.38–2.42 m). fullness (0.4–1) sets the belly size and sag of the full skins. The GLB bakes all params at their defaults. They only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer, and only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, all expected: a duplicate per-mesh palette material, deliberately non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, the lashing and water nested in the rack and bowl, and skins, ties and straps that hang from the rack (a different part) rather than touching the ground. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex does not allow hyphens. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 6 ids.
About the Water skins 3D model
Water skins is a free low-poly 3D model from the Silk Road Caravanserai set. It measures 1.9 m × 1.1 m × 98 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,456 triangles across 10 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 112 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Water skins 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 112 KB: 1,456 triangles, 4,368 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 1.9 m × 1.1 m × 98 cm.
- Can I animate Water skins?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Water skins 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
