Hand cart

A low-poly two-wheeled harvest hand cart for the Rice Terraces kit: an earth-brown plank bed on dark-wood shafts, big spoked wooden wheels, a roped stack of green-and-gold rice sheaves between corner stakes, a water bucket, a rice sack and a hanging gourd. It has a seamless 8 s loop: the wheels turn and the gourd swings.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Hand cart for the Rice Terraces kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Rice Terraces kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stepped green hills and small farms. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: rice green #3a883a, water mirror #3997c6, earth brown #6b4a2e, straw #d7c375, rice green dark #235223, water mirror dark #286a8a, rice green light #5db15d, water mirror light #79b5d2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `growthStageWater` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Growth stage (water" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.35 m long (back of the bed to the pull bar), 1.38 m wide over the hubs, with the plank bed at 0.61 m and the sheaf load and stake tips at about 1.19 m. The wheels are 0.84 m across. The origin is at the bottom centre, the model rests on y = 0 on both iron tyres and both prop legs, and the shafts and pull bar face +Z. The GLB has 4,068 triangles in 27 meshes. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. 10 of the 12 are used; water mirror dark and water mirror light are not. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on more than one material: recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (8 s, seamless) turns both wheels one full forward revolution on the axle and swings the gourd on its peg under the right shaft. The bed, legs and load never move, so the wheels spin in place rather than carrying the cart along. The wheels are 16-sided with a vertex at the bottom at t = 0 and every quarter turn; in between, a tyre can lift a few millimetres off the ground. The GLB's static node pose is the t = 2 s pose (a quarter turn), because three-check exports after its determinism seek. growthStageWater (the kit's 'Growth stage (water)') sets the season of the load: at 0 the sheaves are young light-green seedling bundles and the bucket is nearly full for the flooded paddies; at 1 they are golden straw and the bucket is nearly empty. The default 0.5 gives a mix of green and gold sheaves and a half-full bucket. bedLength, wheelRadius and sheafCount rebuild the cart; the sheaf count is capped by what fits on the bed (10 on a 1.2 m bed, 15 from about 1.4 m). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer runs at exposure 0.62 instead of the direction's 1.05, which does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 warnings, all expected: per-mesh materials sharing colour names, duplicate materials, deliberately non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested boxes (cross members inside rails, planks on rails), and the stakes and rope flagged as 'detached' because each touches the cart only through another part group. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 12 ids. Fix round 1 removed a capped bucket hoop that showed as a black disc over the water, and replaced the sheaves' closed log-like ends with drooping grain-head tufts.

About the Hand cart 3D model

Hand cart is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Rice Terraces set. It measures 1.4 m × 1.2 m × 2.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,068 triangles across 27 meshes, with 12 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 338 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Hand cart 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 338 KB: 4,068 triangles, 12,204 vertices and 27 materials, modelled in metres at 1.4 m × 1.2 m × 2.4 m.
Is Hand cart animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Hand cart 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
