How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Station hall for the Railway Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Railway Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Platforms, signals and a grand hall. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: brick #9e3d2e, iron green #3a883a, cream #f1e7d0, signal red #e90c0c, brick dark #63261d, iron green dark #235223, brick light #c66253, iron green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 35.3 m wide (X) × 23.0 m deep (Z) × 23.8 m tall to the clock tower's finial. The central hall spans 16 m, is 18 m deep and has 8 m walls. Its barrel-vault crown is 13.0 m, the front gable parapet 13.6 m, the wings are 5.6 m to the eaves, and the entrance canopy is 4 m deep at 4.1 m clear height. The entrance faces +Z. The origin is at the bottom centre of the bounding box, so the clock tower makes the hall sit about 2.2 m right of x = 0. The model rests on y = 0. The exported model has 9,636 triangles in 41 meshes (merged per part and colour); all params at max gives 9,860 and all at min 7,840. It is static, with no animation clip. All 12 kit colours are used and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name repeats: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. era (the kit's 'Era') adds cream polychrome string courses: 1 at 0, 2 at the 0.5 default, 3 at 1. From 0.5 up it also turns the main doors from dark wood to iron green. hallSpan widens the hall and scales the vault rise, great window, door spacing and canopy columns with it. wingLength sets the wing length, with up to three window bays per face. canopyDepth sets the canopy and forecourt depth. Both extremes pass three-check. The hall has no interior: its glazing is opaque soot-black glass. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: material count and duplicates (per-mesh materials), non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), sibling overlaps (deliberate trim nesting), and the 23.8 m height against a generic 1 m reference. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. With the hyphens removed it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 10 survive the GLB reload.

About the Station hall 3D model

Station hall is a free low-poly 3D model from the Railway Station set. It measures 35 m × 24 m × 23 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 9,636 triangles across 41 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 711 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Station hall 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 711 KB: 9,636 triangles, 28,908 vertices and 41 materials, modelled in metres at 35 m × 24 m × 23 m.
Can I animate Station hall?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Station hall 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
