Benches
A low-poly cast-iron railway platform bench with dark wood seat and backrest slats on iron green end frames, scrolled armrests with cream bosses, cast roundels, a middle support and a rear stretcher bar. Game-ready at 736 triangles, with an Era knob that runs from an ornate Victorian bench to a plain 1930s one.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Benches for the Railway Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Railway Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Platforms, signals and a grand hall. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: brick #9e3d2e, iron green #3a883a, cream #f1e7d0, signal red #e90c0c, brick dark #63261d, iron green dark #235223, brick light #c66253, iron green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size at the defaults: 2.20 m long (X) × 0.69 m deep (Z) × 0.93 m tall, with the seat top at 0.48 m. The origin is at the bottom centre, the front faces +Z, and the feet rest on y = 0. The GLB has 736 triangles in 9 meshes (one merged mesh per part and colour). It is static, with no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after a Railway Station kit palette colour; 5 of the 12 are used. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. era (the kit's 'Era') runs from Victorian at 0 (a taller back with four slats, big scrolls, large roundels) to 1930s at 1 (a lower back with three slats, small scrolls). Roundels are dropped from era 0.67 up. The middle frame appears from a length of 1.6 m. The all-min and all-max param builds both passed three-check. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, all expected for this build style: duplicate material names, non-indexed flat shading, the scroll and roundel bosses nesting in their castings, and the slats resting on the rails being flagged as 'detached'. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated, and three-check and the GLB keep all 6 ids.
About the Benches 3D model
Benches is a free low-poly 3D model from the Railway Station set. It measures 2.2 m × 93 cm × 69 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 736 triangles across 9 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 79 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Benches 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 79 KB: 736 triangles, 2,208 vertices and 9 materials, modelled in metres at 2.2 m × 93 cm × 69 cm.
- Can I animate Benches?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Benches 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
