Plastic stools

A low-poly stack of three nested street-food plastic stools in alternating teal and red. Each has a square seat with a hand slot, a deep skirt and four splayed legs. Game-ready at 876 triangles, with knobs for stack count, stool height, leg splay and label size.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Plastic stools for the Motorbike Alley kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Motorbike Alley kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A narrow tropical lane of shop houses. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: faded yellow #dbc970, teal shutters #2d8686, red #c32222, wet concrete #8a8a8a, faded yellow dark #ccb233, teal shutters dark #1a4d4d, faded yellow light #e8dfb0, teal shutters light #46b9b9, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `signLanguageAndText` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sign language and text" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: each stool is 0.27 m tall with a 0.29 m square seat. The default stack of 3 is 0.41 m tall with a footprint of about 0.38 m square. Origin is at the bottom centre, front faces +Z, and the bottom stool's feet rest on y = 0. Each stool nests 0.07 m above the one below, with its skirt resting on the lower seat's lip. The legs of the upper stools hug the outside of the lower legs (intended nesting, so there is some overlap), and their foot caps hang in the air as in a real stack. The GLB carries the default state (3 stools, label 0.5) with no animation clip. Params change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. signLanguageAndText (the kit's 'Sign language and text') sizes a blank moulded maker's label on each skirt front; at 0 it is removed. It never shows real text. Stack colours follow a fixed cycle from the bottom up: teal shutters, red, teal shutters, faded yellow, red. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour; one material is written per mesh, so a name can repeat. Recolour by name. Flat-shaded, non-indexed geometry. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphenated slug ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: duplicate material names, non-indexed geometry, nested sibling overlap, label plates flush on the skirts flagged as detached, and scale compared with the direction's 1 m reference.

About the Plastic stools 3D model

Plastic stools is a free low-poly 3D model from the Motorbike Alley set. It measures 35 cm × 41 cm × 35 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 876 triangles across 8 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 91 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Plastic stools 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 91 KB: 876 triangles, 2,628 vertices and 8 materials, modelled in metres at 35 cm × 41 cm × 35 cm.
Can I animate Plastic stools?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Plastic stools 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
