How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Bird cages for the Motorbike Alley kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Motorbike Alley kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A narrow tropical lane of shop houses. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: faded yellow #dbc970, teal shutters #2d8686, red #c32222, wet concrete #8a8a8a, faded yellow dark #ccb233, teal shutters dark #1a4d4d, faded yellow light #e8dfb0, teal shutters light #46b9b9, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `signLanguageAndText` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sign language and text" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: the stand is 1.6 m to the arm tops (1.67 m with the finial), about 0.9 m across the cages and 0.67 m deep at the feet. Each cage is 0.30 m across and about 0.5 m tall, hanging on a hook ring that rests on its arm. Origin is at the bottom centre, front faces +Z (the cage doors and the shop board face front), and four foot pads rest on y = 0. The GLB carries the default state (2 cages, board 0.5) with no animation clip. Params change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. signLanguageAndText (the kit's 'Sign language and text') sizes a blank red shop board on the post front; at 0 it is removed. It never shows real text. Cage colours follow a fixed cycle: yellow, teal, light yellow, light teal. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (11 colours); one material is written per mesh, so names repeat. Recolour by name. Flat-shaded, non-indexed geometry. Cups and birds sit inside the cages and bars meet rings by design. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphenated slug ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: material count (19 per-mesh materials sharing 11 palette names), duplicate material names, non-indexed geometry, nested sibling overlap (cups, birds) and bounding-box 'detached' flags on the hanging cage parts, which are joined through the hooks.

About the Bird cages 3D model

Bird cages is a free low-poly 3D model from the Motorbike Alley set. It measures 90 cm × 1.7 m × 70 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,592 triangles across 19 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 357 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Bird cages 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 357 KB: 3,592 triangles, 10,776 vertices and 19 materials, modelled in metres at 90 cm × 1.7 m × 70 cm.
Can I animate Bird cages?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Bird cages 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
