Dynamite boxes

A low-poly stack of four wooden explosives cases on timber dunnage, with cleated ends, steel straps and yellow hazard diamonds. The top case is open, showing rows of red dynamite sticks and a loose stick with a fuse.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Dynamite boxes for the Mine and Quarry kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Mine and Quarry kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Rock, dust and heavy machines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: ochre #bd8728, slate #525e6f, machine yellow #eecd2b, rust #9b4427, ochre dark #7e5a1b, slate dark #323943, ochre light #d6a95c, slate light #7b8593, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `oreColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Ore colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: the whole asset is 1.48 m (x) × 0.98 m (z) × 0.91 m tall, measured to the top of the open lid. Each case is 0.50 × 0.32 × 0.25 m, about a 50 lb explosives case, plus a 2 cm lid. Two cases sit on 6 cm dunnage beams. A third rests on their lid battens and stands open. A fourth lies on the ground at front left. The hazard diamonds face +Z. The origin is at the bottom centre of the bounding box, and the model rests on y = 0. The GLB has 2,232 triangles in 13 meshes (merged per part and colour). It is static and carries no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. 8 of the 12 colours are used at the default. Slate, slate light, warm white and mid grey appear only as ore options. oreColour (the kit's 'Ore colour') works in steps and colours the dynamite stick wrappers: below 0.2 slate light, 0.2–0.4 ochre light, 0.4–0.6 rust (the default and the GLB, the classic red stick), 0.6–0.8 ochre, and 0.8 and up machine yellow. boxCount (1–4) builds 1 case, 2 side by side, 2 + 1 stacked, or the full stack plus the stray. The opened case is always the top one, or the last one when there are fewer than 3. lidOpen (0–1) swings that lid from closed to 105° on its back hinges. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. They change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were captured by three-check. No text or logos: the bands and diamonds are plain colour. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected. They cover duplicate material names (one mesh per colour per part), non-indexed flat shading, nested overlaps (seams and bands proud of the boards), and the stick packing being reported 'detached' because it rests on a case floor in another part. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract is supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated, and three-check and the GLB keep all 7 ids. One fix round, visual only: the stray case moved from front right to front left so it no longer crops the hero, the hero was framed wider, and the exposure was lowered to 0.62. The exposure and the viewer's ground disc are not part of the GLB.

About the Dynamite boxes 3D model

Dynamite boxes is a free low-poly 3D model from the Mine and Quarry set. It measures 1.5 m × 91 cm × 98 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,232 triangles across 13 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 223 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Dynamite boxes 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 223 KB: 2,232 triangles, 6,696 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 1.5 m × 91 cm × 98 cm.
Can I animate Dynamite boxes?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Dynamite boxes 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
