Conveyor

A low-poly inclined belt conveyor for a mine or quarry. A black belt climbs 16° inside a machine-yellow lattice truss on slate trestles, fed by a hopper at the tail and tipping into a hooded chute at the head, with a yellow gearmotor and a back walkway. It comes with a seamless 8 s loop of the belt carrying ore.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Conveyor for the Mine and Quarry kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Mine and Quarry kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Rock, dust and heavy machines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: ochre #bd8728, slate #525e6f, machine yellow #eecd2b, rust #9b4427, ochre dark #7e5a1b, slate dark #323943, ochre light #d6a95c, slate light #7b8593, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `oreColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Ore colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 12.1 m long × 3.1 m deep × 5.0 m tall (top of the head hood); the belt is 1.0 m wide on 11 m drum centres at 16°, tail drum axle at 1.05 m. Origin is at the bottom centre of the bounds on y = 0; the gearmotor faces the front (+Z), the belt's top run climbs toward +X and the walkway runs along the back (-Z). 6,364 triangles. Animation clip 'scene-motion' is 8 s and loops seamlessly: each of the 96 belt segments (belt.seg_00–95) and 32 ore cells (ore.cell_00–31) travels exactly one lap of the belt path, the drums and the 9 carrying / 5 return idlers (idlers.carry_N, idlers.return_N) turn whole numbers of turns, each pivoting on its own axle; ore scales in under the hopper and out under the head hood (parked at near-zero scale inside the hood while on the return run). Truss, trestles, hopper, hood, drive and walkway never move. oreColour (kit 'Ore colour') picks the palette colour of the belt load and the hopper heap in five steps: slate light, ochre light, rust (default), ochre, machine yellow. length, angle and beltWidth change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer (trestle count, idler spacing and loop counts are recomputed); the GLB is baked at default params. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Static parts are merged per part and colour, and the exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. 8 of the 12 kit colours are used at default; ochre dark and warm white are never used, and ochre and ochre light appear only as oreColour options. glb-lint: 0 errors, 7 heuristic warnings (material count and draw calls above the direction default because each moving segment is its own mesh, duplicate-named materials, non-indexed primitives for flat normals, nested drum hubs, belt segments and ore flagged as detached because they ride on parts in other groups, and height above the 1 m reference). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated slug part ids this library requires; with neutral ids the same plan passes.

About the Conveyor 3D model

Conveyor is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Mine and Quarry set. It measures 12 m × 5.0 m × 3.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 6,364 triangles across 178 meshes, with 13 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 1.5 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Conveyor 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 1.5 MB: 6,364 triangles, 19,092 vertices and 178 materials, modelled in metres at 12 m × 5.0 m × 3.1 m.
Is Conveyor animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Conveyor 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
