Architect

A thoughtful architect in her 50s, built as a folded-card papercraft figure: black turtleneck, wide concrete-grey trousers, round yellow glasses, loafers and a bundle of rolled blueprints in her right fist. Rigged in T-pose on the shared Mixamo-named skeleton.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A woman, 50s, slim, about 1.65 m tall. Thoughtful expression. Wearing: black turtleneck, wide trousers, round glasses, loafers (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Black, concrete grey, yellow. Prop: rolled blueprints, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Papercraft style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: 2,963 triangles; 25 mixamorig bones (Hips to HeadTop_End, Shoulder to Hand, UpLeg to Toe_End); no finger bones, the hands are block mittens and the right hand is a closed fist. T-pose bind, soles at y = 0, facing +Z; bone local +Y points down each bone. Every mesh is a SkinnedMesh on one shared skeleton, at most 4 weights per vertex, normalised. The blueprint bundle (architect.prop) is a separate skinned mesh weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand. No animation clips. Flat-shaded geometry with split normals so facets survive in any engine; per-panel card tint is stored as vertex colour (COLOR_0) that multiplies the base colour, and engines that ignore vertex colours show flat role colours instead. Materials are matte, double-sided, metalness 0, and named by role; the exporter writes one material copy per mesh (17 entries for 10 roles). glb-lint: 0 errors, 4 warnings (material count/duplicates from those per-mesh copies, nested-part overlap, and a scale heuristic tuned to small papercraft props). The trouser seat is a separate panel over the legs, so a deep forward leg raise shows a small yoke seam at the hip.

About the Architect 3D model

Architect is a free papercraft 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.6 m × 1.6 m × 66 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,963 triangles across 17 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 510 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Architect 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 510 KB: 2,963 triangles, 15,892 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.6 m × 66 cm.
Is Architect animated?
It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Architect 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
