Donkey cart
A low-poly Greek donkey cart for the Greek Acropolis kit: a small two-wheeled cart with six-spoked wheels and blue-painted sides, loaded with amphorae and a basket of olives, drawn by a long-eared grey donkey in shafts. It has a seamless 4 s loop: the wheels turn while the donkey walks in place, nodding, flicking its ears and swishing its tail.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Donkey cart for the Greek Acropolis kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Greek Acropolis kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): White temples on a rocky hill. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: marble #e8e6e3, aegean blue #2e67b8, olive green #3a883a, terracotta #be5937, marble dark #c6bfb9, aegean blue dark #1f457a, marble light #f8f7f7, aegean blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `paintedOrBareMarble` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Painted or bare marble" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 3.1 m long (tail sills to the donkey's muzzle) × 1.5 m wide over the linchpins × 1.47 m tall to the ear tips; the donkey stands about 1.0 m at the withers, the spoked wheels are 0.9 m across and the bed floor sits at 0.62 m. Origin is at the bottom centre, the model rests on y = 0 on both tyres and the planted hooves, and the donkey faces +Z; 'left' parts are on the vehicle's own left (+X). The GLB has 4,532 triangles in 52 meshes; three-check's 4,822 figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour; 8 of the 12 are used at the default (marble light appears only from paintedOrBareMarble 0.7; marble, marble dark and aegean blue light are unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (4 s, seamless) turns both wheels one full forward revolution about the axle while the donkey walks in place: five strides per loop, every leg a rigid hip → knee/hock → fetlock chain whose pivots sit on the joints, posed by two-bone IK so planted hooves slide straight back along y = 0 at the wheels' rolling speed; the head nods at the poll, each ear flicks at its root and the tail swishes at the tailhead. Bed, sides, load, shafts, harness and the donkey's body never move, so the cart travels in place. The GLB's static node pose is the t = 2 s pose (mid-stride, half a wheel turn). No skinning: every moving piece is a rigid node. paintedOrBareMarble (the kit's 'Painted or bare marble') affects the cart's paint only: below 0.35 the side boards and rail are bare dark wood; from 0.35 (default 0.5) the boards are aegean blue under a terracotta rail; from 0.7 a marble light band runs along the outside of the boards. It never changes the wheels, load or donkey. wheelRadius (bed, load and shaft heights follow the axle, and the donkey's stride follows the rolling speed), amphoraCount (0–6 in two rows) and sideHeight rebuild the model. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and expected warnings: per-mesh materials sharing colour names, deliberately non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested sibling bounds (stakes, boards and rails on the sides; sills inside the shafts part), and leg, load and collar meshes flagged as detached because each joint is a separate node that meets its neighbour at the hinge. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 26 ids. Fix round 1 loosened the front-view framing (it cropped the hooves) and slimmed the shaft ferrules and breast collar.
About the Donkey cart 3D model
Donkey cart is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Greek Acropolis set. It measures 1.5 m × 1.5 m × 3.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,532 triangles across 52 meshes, with 26 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 440 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Donkey cart 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 440 KB: 4,532 triangles, 13,596 vertices and 52 materials, modelled in metres at 1.5 m × 1.5 m × 3.1 m.
- Is Donkey cart animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Donkey cart 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
