Wheelbarrow

A low-poly single-wheel garden wheelbarrow: a terracotta steel tray on a grey tube frame with black grips and rubber-footed legs, heaped with grass clippings. Its wheel turns on the axle in a seamless 4-second loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Wheelbarrow for the Garden and Patio kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Garden and Patio kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A back garden through the seasons. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, terracotta #be5937, wood #7d5736, flower pinks #e085a3, grass green dark #235223, terracotta dark #823d26, grass green light #5db15d, terracotta light #d08971, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.57 m long from grip ends to the front of the tyre, 0.67 m wide across the tray rim, 0.64 m tall to the rim, with a 0.40 m wheel. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0, with the wheel facing +Z. The tyre and the two rubber feet are the only ground contacts. The GLB has 892 triangles in 13 meshes and one 4 s clip, 'scene-motion'. In the clip the wheel makes two whole forward turns about its axle; the pivot is the wheel group's origin on the axle centre. The frame, tray, legs, axle and load never move. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names can repeat; recolour by name. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = early spring, 0.5 = high summer, 1 = late autumn) changes the load. Below 0.34 it is dark potting soil with green seedlings and pink flowers. From 0.34 to 0.72 it is grass clippings, the default. From 0.72 up it is a wood-brown fill with a terracotta dark heap and fallen leaves. loadLevel sets how full the tray is and how high the heap mounds. wheelRadius raises the axle and the front of the rails with it. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both param extremes and the spring and autumn loads pass three-check (about 900–1,100 GLB triangles). The 16-sided tyre has a vertex on the ground at t = 0, so mid-turn it can lift by up to 4 mm. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected. Two come from the per-mesh export: a material count over 10 and duplicate materials. Flat facets are non-indexed on purpose. Single-colour meshes nest within one part, which reads as sibling overlap. The frame, grips and axle are 'detached' only in the sense that each part is one mesh with no sibling mesh. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 8 ids. The viewer uses exposure 0.62; this does not affect the GLB.

About the Wheelbarrow 3D model

Wheelbarrow is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Garden and Patio set. It measures 69 cm × 64 cm × 1.6 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 892 triangles across 13 meshes, with 8 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 87 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Wheelbarrow 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 87 KB: 892 triangles, 2,676 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 69 cm × 64 cm × 1.6 m.
Is Wheelbarrow animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Wheelbarrow 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
