Washing line
A low-poly back-garden washing line: two grey steel T-posts carrying three sagging lines, with a forked wooden prop lifting the middle one. Shirts, towels, sheets, shorts and socks hang from wooden pegs, and a wicker laundry basket stands on the lawn.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Washing line for the Garden and Patio kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Garden and Patio kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A back garden through the seasons. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, terracotta #be5937, wood #7d5736, flower pinks #e085a3, grass green dark #235223, terracotta dark #823d26, grass green light #5db15d, terracotta light #d08971, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 3.65 m long (posts 3.6 m apart), 1.9 m tall and about 1.4 m deep including the prop foot and basket. The crossbars are 0.84 m wide. The model rests on y = 0, the front faces +Z, and the origin is at ground level midway between the posts; the prop and basket sit in front, so the footprint extends further toward +Z (to 1.0 m) than toward -Z (0.42 m). The GLB has 2,248 triangles in 14 meshes and is static, with no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, so recolour by name; the exporter writes a few same-named duplicates (e.g. three 'warm white'), which glb-lint flags as a heuristic warning only. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = spring, 0.5 = summer, 1 = autumn) swaps the wardrobe in three steps: light cottons and pinks in spring, bright tees, towels and shorts in summer (the default), and terracotta and green jumpers, trousers and dark socks in autumn. That means 'mid grey' laundry, 'terracotta dark' and 'grass green light' only appear at non-default season values. span rebuilds the posts and lines and refills them with garments; load (0.25-1) keeps the first share of garments on each line; sag scales the dip of the lines (the middle line stays propped). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer uses exposure 0.65 rather than the direction's 1.05; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings (14 materials vs the direction's soft maximum of 10, duplicate same-named materials, non-indexed geometry kept on purpose for hard flat facets, garments overlapping each other's bounding boxes along a line, and lines/pegs flagged as detached because each is its own part group; they are tied into the crossbars and clip onto the lines). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 8 ids.
About the Washing line 3D model
Washing line is a free low-poly 3D model from the Garden and Patio set. It measures 3.7 m × 1.9 m × 1.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,248 triangles across 14 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 171 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Washing line 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 171 KB: 2,248 triangles, 6,744 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 3.7 m × 1.9 m × 1.4 m.
- Can I animate Washing line?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Washing line 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
