Hose reel
A low-poly two-wheeled garden hose reel cart: a steel tube frame with a push handle, a drum of green hose between two terracotta flanges, a side crank, and a hose run over the foot bar to a spray gun on the lawn.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Hose reel for the Garden and Patio kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Garden and Patio kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A back garden through the seasons. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, terracotta #be5937, wood #7d5736, flower pinks #e085a3, grass green dark #235223, terracotta dark #823d26, grass green light #5db15d, terracotta light #d08971, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the reel cart is 0.88 m tall to the push handle, about 0.72 m wide across the crank and the leader hose, and 0.5 m deep from the rear tyres to the foot bar. With the paid-out hose and spray gun on the lawn, the whole footprint is 0.87 m (X) × 1.04 m (Z). The drum flanges are 0.41 m across. The origin is at the bottom centre of the cart's footprint (not the hose run), resting on y = 0, with the front facing +Z. The crank is on +X and the tap leader hose on −X. The GLB has 3,660 triangles in 20 meshes. It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = early spring, 0.5 = high summer, 1 = late autumn) sets how much hose is out: the most is out in midsummer, so the drum pack is thinnest and the run to the spray gun is longest then. Below about 0.3 it adds pink blossom petals, and above about 0.7 it adds fallen leaves (terracotta, terracotta light, terracotta dark, wood). Both sit on the lawn and on top of the hose pack, under an extra part 'garden-and-patio-hose-reel.fallen_leaves' that is absent at the default. drumWidth also changes the number of hose wraps (8–14). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; both param extremes pass three-check (3.6k–4.7k triangles). glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 expected warnings: a material count over 10 and duplicate materials (both from the per-mesh export), non-indexed geometry (kept on purpose for hard flat facets), and sibling overlap (single-colour meshes nested within one part). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids. The viewer uses exposure 0.65; this does not affect the GLB.
About the Hose reel 3D model
Hose reel is a free low-poly 3D model from the Garden and Patio set. It measures 87 cm × 88 cm × 1.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,660 triangles across 20 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 275 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Hose reel 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 275 KB: 3,660 triangles, 10,980 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 87 cm × 88 cm × 1.0 m.
- Can I animate Hose reel?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Hose reel 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
