Fence panels
A low-poly back-garden fence panel: grey concrete posts and gravel board, a board-on-board timber panel with a trellis topper, and a pink climbing rose growing from a terracotta pot. A 2 m modular piece that snaps end to end on a 1 m grid.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Fence panels for the Garden and Patio kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Garden and Patio kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A back garden through the seasons. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, terracotta #be5937, wood #7d5736, flower pinks #e085a3, grass green dark #235223, terracotta dark #823d26, grass green light #5db15d, terracotta light #d08971, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2 m long (post centre to post centre; whole metres, 1–4 m via the length param), 2.07 m tall to the post tops, 0.10 m posts; the panel is 1.5 m of timber over a 0.15 m gravel board with a 0.3 m trellis on top. Origin and snapping end: the origin is the centre of the first post at ground level (y = 0); the run goes along +X to x = length and the planted face looks to +Z. Both end posts are modelled so one piece looks finished, so when you chain pieces, remove the duplicate post at each joint or accept the coincident copy. Runs longer than 2 m get a middle post (no bay is wider than 2 m). The model's bounds are x −0.056 … 2.056, y 0 … 2.068, z −0.114 … 0.43 (the pot stands in front of the panel). The GLB has 2,164 triangles in 14 meshes; it is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour; the exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat, so recolour by name. Only the colours used at the default season are in the GLB. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = early spring, 0.5 = high summer, 1 = late autumn) changes the rose: how far it has spread along the trellis, its leaf colour (light green → green → russet and terracotta) and its blooms (peak pink flowers in summer, hips in late autumn). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults; they change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Setting trellis below 0.1 m removes the trellis part (the rose then trails along the capping rail). The defaults pass three-check. So does one extreme (length 1, height 1.2, trellis 0.45, season 0). The other extreme (length 4, height 1.8, trellis 0, season 1) builds cleanly; three-check's only complaint is the missing planned trellis part. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its warnings are expected: sibling overlap is the panel members housed in the post slots, and 'detached' flags the boards, which are held inside the frame rails. The scale warning appears because a fence is taller than the 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.
About the Fence panels 3D model
Fence panels is a free low-poly 3D model from the Garden and Patio set. It measures 2.1 m × 2.1 m × 54 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,164 triangles across 14 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 153 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Fence panels 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 153 KB: 2,164 triangles, 5,343 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 2.1 m × 2.1 m × 54 cm.
- Can I animate Fence panels?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Fence panels 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
